      Yes, once, maybe 5mm deep or so.

      You want masonry bits. Just buy cheap ones from bunnings unless you're trying to anchor a safe or something.

      • Bought this exact kit, and it's served me well for any holes I'd want to be drilling with a regular hammer drill

        Keep the bits cool by dipping them in water every so often, or they'll overheat

  • id buy this but i need to be able to drill metal beams - i dont think these are up for the task…

    • It depends on how you drill. Slow, with moderate pressure and some sort of cooling. You don't need anything special for cooling, I often use just a light oil from a bottle or some sort of spray lubricant. I have these exact drills and haven't had any issues with drilling steel.
