u can return on the old price and buy on the new.

  • they can't get rid of the mclaren tools, permanently on sale, lol

    • +6

maybe they should try what they tried at Monza, second in, best dressed

    • +1

Correction: They can't get rid of the impact drivers. The hammer drill set was sold out in a second.

      • I got one it's awesomeo

      • +4

McLaren continue to insist that both of them are equally impact drivers.

    • +2

They can't get rid of the McLaren tools? Everyones noticed. Lando is still driving for them.

  • +13

Can it tighten front wheel nuts? Asking for a friend.

  • +6

Pretty sure Lando’s pit crew swung by Bunnings for this DeWalt deal before the swap with Oscar.

  • I bought xu impact driver and hammer drill.for 39? The impact driver feels too heavy and very harsh on screws and makes loud knocking sound. Overtightening the screws. Is it how the impact drivers are? Hows this dewalt as compared to xu?

    • +1

I have no idea about the XU, but this Dewalt one is so light - much lighter than the entry-level Ryobi one ($99 from Bunnings). With the 5Ah battery, it felt like doubling the weight of the tool.
Regarding loud knocking sound - yes, it's normal, comes from the impact

      • Then i stick with xu.

    • +1

You want a drill if you don't want the noise.

    • +1

If it’s overtightening screws then turn down the torque one or two steps. That’s the numbers you see on the chuck, twist to a higher number for more torque and a lower number for less. When you turn it down you’ll hear the knocking noise more often but that means the clutch is releasing sooner so it stops turning the screw further. You want to find the right amount of torque for the job where it embeds the screw head either flush on the work surface or very slightly under, if you’re wanting countersunk screws.

Zeee is talking about impact driver not a drill driver.

        • Yeah i was looking for power adjustment in impact driver. I couldn't see anything. Was about to ask where the power adjustment is.

          • +1

@Zeee: no power adjustment, you want a drill with a clutch. the only adjustment is from the trigger, lightly press it to not drive it in so fast and hard.

            • @Hugh G Rection: Exactly i am doing this way. Lightly Pressing, but the hammering effect and loud noise is crazy in xu impact drills

          • +1

@Zeee: This Dewalt driver allows you to select 1 of 3 speeds. I think I'm impact drivers, higher speed means higher power

            • @Averell: Xu has no adjustments. But its fine just for diy works. But i find it of no use as i used to use the ozito drill for screws. Just thought to xu for 39

        • Mea culpa…that was written before I'd had a morning coffee. I should know better than to post pre-caffeine…

    • Impact driver is just that - it is different than a hammer or standard drill and arguably better.

  • good deal, but no stock lol

  • Is there a link for the C&C?

    • Called and placed an order for the last one someone returned it. First time making an order through an email.

      • did you ask bunnings to post to you?

        • No. It's a good idea to ask if free shipping or free with onepass. They asked if I wanted to pay on the phone. I said no because I thought I'd need to read my card number through a phone. If they could authorize aInd pay through my account, I'd be happy to do so.
