Just in case somebody is interested, the Dell U3011 is available NEW from the Outlet at $999 with only 1 year warranty but still a good offer I think… at least for me, I have just bought one of them :o)

I think you got a bad deal, you can get one with 3 years warranty for $1200
$200 for an extra 2 years warranty on a $1000+ monitor is definitly a must!
I got 2 a while back new with 5 years warranty for $1150 each :P, but it was a once off thing though :)

And it has a much higher resolution and better colour representation but hey, who cares about quality these days anyway? My next door neighbour has an ancient Holden and that does the same thing as a Ferrari no?
