      Why do you say this? I still use them as protection for my Credit Card numbers. Should I avoid even for that purpose?

        Yes, because Revolut even keeps charging your account when card is blocked even when card is blocked and then cancelled.
        More than 1 month after blocking and then cancelling, they still tried to charge my account!

    A word of warning: if you use an automated fuel dispenser at a service station (e.g. Costco, some unattended United, Ampol or Shell locations), those should use the MCC of 5542, not 5541, and therefore would be excluded from this deal.

    I’m not sure whether paying from an app (e.g. Ampol FuelPay, BPme, EG Club app) falls under MCC 5541 or 5542 or something else.

    Your safest bet for this deal is to pay in person at the convenience store… or judging by other comments in this deal, maybe don’t bother with this deal at all!

    They didn't honour my referral bonus and another cashback offer. Had tried chatting with their reps but they simply said I wasn't eligible (despite doing all the right thing).

    I personally would not trust them to honour any cashback deals.

        They're just full of it. No real customer support either…. unless you consider having a little text battle with them as customer service?

        Tried to help sign up one of my family members, over a year, multiple times. I would say I had probably spent a few days of my life in a year trying to deal with Revolut and their BS. All ID's available, excuses made every single time, eventually they relented and said it was a problem at their end (they've said this multiple times over the year), to only say identity was not approved etc and the account/s then being closed.

        Same thing with the cashback deals and all that.

        They're trying to be a digital "jack of all trades" world bank/fintech, but I think they know "jack-shht" and they're a master of nothing other than "bool-shht".

    Just got an email saying they have increased transaction fee for international transfers AUD/GBP from $8 to $45 what a joke of a company lol

      That's the maximum fee. The actual fee for GBP is 0.30% which is lower than transferwise (>0.41%). So they're still one of the cheapest for international transfers.

    As a new customer, I would like clarification on how to participate in this deal.
    The activation button takes me to app and the app asks if I want to add money to my account.
    I already have a bank account linked to the revulot account.
    Do I need to add money to my revulot account before this deal will be activated?
    Do I need to add more than the expected spend on fuel ($75)?
    Will the revulot virtual card work to pay for fuel if I add it to BPme app?

      Yes, Yes (because it's better to have more than you need, just in case), and Yes* - with your last question, just to be safe, I would pay via tap&go/paywave, just in case.

    I paid $77 for fuel at Ampol yesterday. Looking forward to receiving my rebate.
    Revolut transaction appears in the app as pending and the Revolut statement shows the merchant as Ampol but there is no merchant category code visible.

    reached out to CS for not receiving '$10 Cashback on Each of 3 Fast Food Purchases' https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/734621 after making 3 orders at maccas, menulog & doordash in November.

    got screwed over as the menulog & doordash transactions have MCC code 5812 instead of 5814 even though the rep specified menulog being eligible - "Examples of fast food restaurants that are categorised as MCC 5814 include, but are not limited to: McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, Hungry Jacks, Dominos, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Boost Juice, Menulog, Deliveroo etc"

    Had to direct, show and specify the McDonald transaction for the manual $10 credit as 'Goodwill'. Avoid unless you're willing to either ensure, bet on or just hope for meeting T&Cs and/or haggle through for those cashbacks :(

    Even though I got $10 out of this, i have to give a neg as a warning to others.

    Hmm.. they seem very keen to fix their image. I planned to spend $75 on fuel today, but when I checked the app I had already got the $30 cashback (I did use the card to spend online but did not pay a single $ for fuel).. could be a glitch.. very interesting
