Even though it's tagged "adsl", please do not use these with your ADSL connection. If you do, don't blame your ISP for slow speeds, failed synchronisation or dropouts.

  I used one of these before for ADSL, the internet is as fast as without having it in the chain.

This is a dupe but from a long time ago. These things are still available at at least a few stores though just cause nobody really needs a 10m phone cable any more :P
