Cheap SanDisk Extreme 480GB SSD for $349USD after Code WAT65239 (TigerDirect, USA) +Shipping $68

WAT65239

if you are after high capacity <$1/Gb high performance SSD, this may be for you!

found from Logicbuy, inserted my details and shipping to SA (I suppose it is the same for the whole Australia) is $68USD for 1 - 4 units, note any quantity >3 SSDs will be over the $1000 value = tax, so I guess max order = 2 SSDs per order. Cheapest in Australia is $478AUD from staticice.

There are also other deals there, I have found Corsair H60 heat sink is also cheap ($55 USD) compare to over $90AUD here according to staticice. Postage is still $68 altogether if I order 1 x SSD and 1 x H60 in one go.

I'd spend $8 more and get a crucial M4 512gb from crucial.com, larger size and arguably one of the best on the market.

I'm pretty sure performance-wise G25 > M4 but the extra space can be useful for some. Not sure how much M4 512Gb is going for but if you are two to share with a mate, this will come to $383USD each posted which isn't too bad a deal I suppose

The Sandisk Extreme might be a little faster than an M4, but you would never notice it unless you ran benchmarks.

      • Quote: $383USD each posted

        How is this calculated?

        • Buy 2 with a mate and split the postage, thought it was pretty clear :)

I would still go for the Crucial M4 regardless.

Tiger direct never use to post overseas

    • And according to their site, you still can't place international orders online.

good price :)… but i like to buy local

  • $68 shipping.. who pays for shipping if you need to do RMA? They better not charge another $68 to return it to you.
