I was browsing Officeworks because I was bored and stumbled on some clearance items. Officeworks are clearing out their various Spiderman themed hard drives.You are paying $11 more over the standard black Seagate 2TB hard drive but these have a special edition casing and lighting. I actually like these designs. All of these drives are over $100 at JB Hifi, Harvey Norman etc.

  I've purchased Halo/Xbox ones significantly under the price of the standard models on clearance at OW before.

  I'd have thought they'd price them less personally given such a niche thing.

    Obviously they're mechanical drives, as they will state SSD or Solid state. It is possible these are a hybrid drive though (several GB of SSD drive cache).

      At this price point it's not so obvious. 1Tb SSD for this price would be quite reasonable, so if OW was (inadvertently) clearing out SSDs like they did a week ago, then the question is certainly legitimate to ask.

        I haven't seen a product like this listed in Aus that hasn't clearly stated if it's an SSD or otherwise.

          @Oofy Doofy: Every other listing for a FireCuda drive on OzBargain is for an SSD so that would be an easy assumption to make.
