Tempted but worry about the packaging…

    • I bought 2 of these back in March (for about $410 each back then) and have been using them in my QNAP NAS with no issues so far

      • Bubble bag outside or just with plastic bag?

        • From memory my boxes came inside another box (but not with extensive padding inbetween from memory)

the way amazon packs their stuff, it always gets damaged for me. For something as fragile as a HDD, I wouldn't trust it.

    • Can always return if damaged. I took the plunge with two. Fingers crossed.

      • their return window is limited and I think US product warranty might not be as long as ours. A lot of stuff is just one year.

  • Brought 4, Tks OP

  • laughs in Neology's GB

  • Is this Red Plus better than Ironwolf Pro ?

  • These are a 7200 RPM drive so can generate some heat in a NAS so make sure you have proper cooling solution

  • Is 'EFGX' a new CMR suffix? I thought only 'EFRX' were CMR?

  • Anyone had their order shipped? Still waiting for mine.
