It’s not $12, but still a good deal for four.

  • WESTPAC10 again?

  • +1

How do you buy it? there is not Add To cart just Add to wishlist

    • You need to refresh a few times

  • FYI It is hard to see but you need to enter in the code "WESTPAC10" when in the "2 - Review and Payments" section. You need to actually click on the collapsed "Apply Gift Card & Promo Code" at the top to then add in the code. Easy to miss.
It reduced to $106 when I did it.

    Love it, thanks OP!

  • +1

    Thanks ordered one

  • Is it really out of stock? Looks ok right now.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Despite being labelled out of stock for one.

  • Seems to be in stock still - just ordered.

  • Anywhere which can price match and that I can pick up in person, need it in the next couple days

    • OW ?

      • they dont seem to sell airtags

        • They don’t, they kicked up a fuss about coin batteries.

          • @Mitch889: Anywhere else that would have them in a physical store?

            • @nk7: Other than an Apple Store, not really no. Scorptec sometimes have them too, but hit and miss.

  • Just so everyone is aware, since the Westpac10 code have been used, you'll end up getting an email like this:
"You have recently made a purchase at digiDirect using the coupon code WESTPAC10, which is reserved for single use by employees of Westpac and its affiliated companies.

This order requires additional information before it can be processed to ensure your eligibility for the offer."
Then you have to provide them with the information you're a Westpac employee etc..

The code works and you can benefit from it only if you're a Westpac employee that received the email.

Edit: This was from the last time I used the Westpact10 code when it first popped up.

    • Damn, I have not got the email yet but I am not fussed if they cancel my purchase if I cannot provide evidence.

      Use SORETO10 instead :)

These are excellent. Bought them for an overseas trip, and you can actually see the luggage moving (can even goes which terminal it’s in)

    Million times better than Tile

    • +2

Yep, super handy to confirm they loaded it onto the same plane as you and track them coming out of the baggage claim. Fantastic little things.

Can also hide them on your bicycle, boat/trailer parked on street, handbag/backpacks for daily commute etc. You can even get card wallets that have an AirTag holder built-in if you're prone to losing wallet. You can set alerts if they're moving away from you/home.

Is this allowed in checkin? I thought all battery based items are not allowed

      • Unlikely a problem
Phones or any electronic device will have a battery

      • Lithium spare batteries, and coin battery inside an AirTag is fine. Have them in all my cases when I travel now, it’s comforting to see the bags have arrived before even getting up from your seat 😃

        • +1

Incorrect. ANY spare battery (especially lithium!) is totally forbidden from checked baggage. They must be carried in carry-on only.

          Sources: CASA, Qantas, Virgin.

          • @mister_snrub: Qantas already answered this question when asked by the press, confirming there is no issue with using them.

            • +1

@Mitch889: Qantas have chosen not to enforce the rule for AirTags as the risk is really low.

But spare batteries, which is what my reply was about, is a different matter. Spare batteries (not installed in a device) are a massive risk, especially lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries. They are not allowed in checked baggage.

What a horrific site experience that was. I’ve received an order confirmation, but also the payment screen on the site said “failure” 🤷‍♂️

    • All good for me.

    • +1

I never got a failure notice, just a never-ending circle gif…. and then it went to the 503 site down for maintenance. Thankfully when it came back up and I went to finish the purchase I thought "I'll just check it didn't go through" and there it was sitting in the order list as paid/processing.

  • Back in stock. Just purchased one.

  • Back in stock also purchased a set. :)

    • They cancelled my order stating it was a pricing error, unfortunately the 4 AirTag cases I ordered for them weren't a pricing error and are on route to my house now.. :(

      • Can you cancel it? I got this leather 4 pack for $19.99 on 1 Dec and they are awesome for my use case.

        • They've already shipped them, I could do a return/refund but its not the airtag case sellers fault for this issue so I'd rather just keep them and buy the airtags later on when at a good price point.

  • Thank you for this! Just ordered a set. Been waiting for a good deal on AirTags. These are great to use on pets by the way. I use it for my cat and can easily buy a lightweight silicon holder for them to wear on the collar.

    • +1

if you're planning on using on pets, i highly recommend doing the speaker mod which removes a magnet from it to avoid it from beeping when you're away or there's no idevices around.

There's plenty of youtube videos that shows you how safely remove it without breaking clips.

  • Price showing $149 now.

  • +1

    Got it! thanks OP

  • Its showing me price $149 and with the coupon its reducing $10 only (tried both coupons) $149-$10 = $139 final price
    Is it right ?

  • Oh bummer, it's back to full price!

  • Terrible site, had it in my cart for 116 and got charged $149. Must have changed price while I was in checkout and it didn't update in the cart

  • Order Cancelled !

    Dear Customer,
Thank you for your order with us at digiDirect. Unfortunately, a typographical glitch on our website impacted the price appearing well under cost for a short period of time, including during the time you placed your order. As such, we are refunding your order immediately, in line with our terms and conditions (see Typographical Errors at https://www.digidirect.com.au/terms/#error).
We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused you and we look forward to you shopping with us again.
    Kind Regards,
    digiDirect

    • Is that at $106?

      • Yes!! Using Westpac10

        • Damn what a shitshow thought they would at least still honour this deal even if not the $12 one

    • Damn, they must have at owners kids playing with the website right now as the individual AirTags were for sale for $12 each and a bunch of $0 items before it was pulled earlier today. :-)

    • One of my orders along with stuff from this deal had been cancelled

My other standalone Apple AirTag order hasn’t been cancelled yet

  • Got the cancellation too - buncha (profanity)…

  • Feels like it’s pretty not on for them to cancel orders on this. Not as ridiculous as the $12 individual tags.

Can see them getting some bad reviews from this blunder

    • it's a bit much when it comes well after the fact, they had a "biggest sale" on, they had a reasonable price within that that isn't a clear error, and they apparently took a payment as they now have to refund.

there should be rules against this "we can cancel any time until we ship" for ordinary items on sale. A billion dollar submarine might have a more complex pricing allowed, but a hundred dollar consumer item? If you really want to prevent it, then placing an order into a pending state without taking payment would be fine - it'd be clear to all parties that nothing had been bought and paid for. Not sending out "thank you for purchasing", here is your invoice… then the next day a "yeah, nah".

when you have wording like "A purchase of our product will result in a charge to either your credit card or your PayPal account for the amount stipulated, which will include the price of selected products and the cost of shipping and handling where applicable." It's hard to say that it wasn't a "purchase" and was just an "offer to purchase from them" and was sitting waiting on their "acceptance".

Apparently, one OZBer collected his/her $12 Airtag:

    reply2dev collected his/her Airtag

  • Order cancelled today as well with the same excuse of “typographical error”.

They happily sent me their first spam email today though to buy other stuff. Wonder if these things are a trick to get our details and then cancel the order.

    • Dammit. Same here. 9.07am email.

      • Same. Order cancelled and Wow.. turned out to be a rubbish deal and now they sent these spam email I did not subscribe for..

    • Same, was expecting it but also quietly hoping it would slip through and get shipped. Oh well, I’ll try again next time.

    • I was thinking the same thing.. Digidirect are bastards.. spamming me now..

    • Also got my cancellation email :(

    • Cancelled my order too.
Had a chat with Apple sales twice yesterday, they said DigiDirect is not authorized reseller for this product, so can’t price match.

  • Got my cancellation order also

  • Got an email saying my purchase was being reviewed. Then a reversal communication from PayPal. Then an email from Digi asking for feedback on their support. Wierd, but meh, you win some you lose some.

    • me too, rubbish company

  • Same here… No reason given for the cancellation

    • Weird, they should have mentioned the typo error in the email.
