  • Nice fans but seems like they'd be a nightmare to cable manage with the included cables and controller.

the sacrifices for RGB, I'm running 2x 3 cooler master ARGB fans with controller and it's a mess at the back. No one would ever know from the glass panel view though

PST daisy chaining makes life significantly easier, but it's not even close to a universal standard yet. Hopefully it will become more common over time and the price will trickle down a bit.

The best fans with minimal cables are Lian Li UNI SL120 I got myself a corsair and the cables I have are dreadful.

      • True. Only manage the cable where ppl can see.

  • Must be a price error or something as I can't complee checkout. Says there's a problem with the order but gives no other details

    • I have placed two orders for them without any issues. Maybe they are out of stock now.

    • I just got 1. Try refreshing the page?

      • Maybe it's my location? I'm in regional Vic.

Tried through both the website and app, keep getting the same error. Have placed other orders today without a problem.

  • I guess the price are not just decent, it's way too good. I was buying some shit 2pin fans on eBay and it cost me around $12 each….

    Good find OP

  • Umart are selling the Thermaltake Ring 120mm 12 LED RGB Radiator Fan Sync Edition 3 Pack for $29. No hub but you can get a Deepcool Fan Hub for less than $10.

    • But with the $12 delivery, it ends up being more expensive.

  • 3x RGB fans under 50 is an excellent price. Grabbed one. Thanks!

4x packs of rgb-less PWM case fans are like <$20 on Amazon

Not sure what the point of this comment is. Two different pairs of shoes.

      • Meant to reply @willthefomo

Didn't seem like he was looking for RGB specifically.

        • which ones? i'm also not interested in the rgb, but want high static pressure, low noise, long mtbf.

        • Just realised why…I was buying the 90mm one, which is more expensive I believe.

I always got the impression that the if there's no promotion, the price on eBay would always cheaper than on Amazon…. that's why I ordered it directly on eBay

Good to know the deal thanks @Oofy Doofy

  • Can anyone explain to me how to connect these up to my motherboard, or sync them if I buy 6? (3 front, 1 exhaust, 2 top)

Do I need a separate sync controller for this model to connect to my motherboard for speed/RGB, or only through the TT software? And does it need a USB2.0 connector on the motherboard?

    • Yes

There is a controller included in the set. You just connect it to an internal or external usb port. In your case you will need to use both controller as eash controller only controls up to five fans.

If you have a modern mb, you will have a 5v argb header on the motherboard. You don't use the controller, but daisy chain the fans and then use the connector to the mb.
The controller is for mb that are older and don't have the 5v header, in which case you jook it up to the controller and then to usb for power.

      • This goes to the 5V argb header and not the 12v rgb header?

      • The fans have custom headers on them. You will need to either make or find an adapter if you want to hook up directly to the d-rgb on the motherboard. Alternatively Thermaltake sells another controller box which lets you plug in 9 fans and control them with motherboard headers.

        • Afaik they come with 2 sets of cables. One has the controller on it and the other has the 3 pin argb that hooks directly into the mobo.

You only use 1 of the 2 cables

Just letting people know that the thermaltake software is pure trash. It has trouble detecting fans. I have been trying signalrgb software and so far it works better then the thermaltake software.
