Started playing it recently and having so much fun with it. Kept seeing people say that it reminds them of the old Mario Golf games on the Gameboy and it really does capture that feel so well. Plus, it's made by an Aussie dev, good enough reason as any to support them.

Golf Story combines the sheer excitement of golf with a serious story that plays out over 8 different courses. Play the story of a golfer who is forced to give up all that he holds dear for one last shot at accomplishing his dreams.

But all is not so simple in the world of golf. To best today's players you have to be able to keep up with them both on and off the course.

        Plagued with technical issues at the moment by the looks of it. Would probably avoid for now.

        Bit buggy at the moment, the task I needed to do in tennis randomly changed and now I don't think I can progress in the tennis part anymore…

        They said to send them any bugs and they're working on fixes though.

            @serpserpserp: Same when Golf story first came out there was plenty of bugs and some game breaking bugs.

    This game is brilliant!
    Similar to gba Mario golf with a better story.
    Made by an Australian studio.
    Unfortunately sports story is rather lacking in comparison.

        Game runs poorly, which is odd given its graphics style, with bugs, crashes and frame rate issues.
        Mechanics of other sports (not golf) are fairly mediocre. Have a read of the user reviews on metacritic and you’ll see people saying similar things.

          Agreed on the bugs and frame rate issues. Just finished the game recently and probably had to reboot it 2 or 3 times, and it'd have weird striations when the camera pans across greenery. That said, still had a blast playing golf story. Worth the $9.99.

    I played through most of this and was entertained for a while, but I think it got bogged down with repetitive tasks near the end?
