Get real. This is nothing more than a 1 week free trial disguised under some other marketing name. Pretty standard and a free trial is not a deal.

Not one of those bonuses can be used in the next week so don't even list them they are not relevant.

Then there's the establishment fee. What a rort.

It's not even that, because you're forced into an 18 month membership. Can't believe they're not even waiving the $79 fee when you're locked in for 18 months, isn't that the least they normally do?

Isn't this rebranded Fitness first? Say no more, or in other words say NO MORE.

Would never recommend this gym. Ever.

I really can't figure out how gyms try to hock these 'deals' off at this time of year… that's like just over a week of free membership, then you're paying full price + joining fee anyway?

  • +1

Terrible gym franchise and would never recommend this to anyone unless you enjoy 24 month contracts which increasing fees that are not communicated to you.

    Wow so generous 🫤

This is really not a deal and should be removed. Establishment fees, Fob fees are a massive rort. Getting out of a Goodlife membership is like pulling teeth out even when out of contract. Having to give a months notice should be illegal. Banks, Telco's etc don't require any kind of notice once out of contract, how gyms get away with it is something else.

  • This isn't a "deal", this is a scam. Such disgraceful promotions should not be allowed.

33/week? for an 18-month contract that too? this is more than double what I'm paying currrently for no-contract. I do agree that I'm comparing Melb with QLD, but still. Afraid I must neg this.

I have been burnt by GoodLife in the past. Quite dishonest practices

  • The reason this membership is more expensive is because of the included Reformer/Arena classes - the same membership but just without the classes (Platinum) only sets you back $15.99 per week instead of $32.99.

Not sure what's happened to Goodlife's prices lately though… only reason I'm still going is because I'm grandfathered into a nice low month-to-month membership. The gyms are pretty fantastic though - just depends on whether you're happy to splash out the pretty sizeable amount of cash.

It bears mentioning that there also doesn't appear to be any Reformer or Arena classes available at Helensvale either.
