Aldi is selling trunks for $10.50 for 3 pack. Bonds is not what it used to be.

    • When did they go on sale?
In my experience unless you get there on the day the only stock remaining will be about 40 packs of XXL, which always makes me wonder why they don’t order more M and L and stop ordering so many XXL.

    • yeah at $4.50 each i still think thats expensive as the quality has gone down

    • I've still got a few pairs of bonds briefs undies that I bought in the mid 2000's. The colour on them has faded only like 30%, but the elastic waistbands are basically like new. Still in my rotation every couple weeks. Some survivorship bias is there - I'm sure a few have been thrown out over the years - but still the remainder have survived at least 15 years worth of wash cycles.

did Bonds change their logo? never seen it in lowercase before

    • +1

      Yeah it’s weird

A quick google search shows pics with all caps too

      • probably rejects or off cuts..

        • Wouldn’t rejects have the same logo, but with some flaws

Or are u suggesting the guy who prints the waistband messed up and this is the result?

These have all caps logo. Maybe the ones by zasel are fakes.

We buy directly from Bonds themselves. We do not sell Fake products.

@gkoutau: Cool. Then maybe you can clarify the discrepancy.

          • @gkoutau: Yeah “we don’t sell fakes” doesn’t explain the difference in products

@parsimonious one: Valid question guys, in the years we have bought and sold hundreds of thousands of their underwear we havent come across this question. Sadly we dont have an answer. If we worked for their design team we would.

@gkoutau: Most likely you bought from the wrong supplier.

              • @gkoutau: Firstly, I’ve seen the question here on a previously posted deal

Secondly, each to their own, but I find that explanation inadequate

@gkoutau: Maybe you can find out and provide the answer? If you claim the product to be genuine and customers have their doubts, wouldnt it make sense for you to find out and clear things up?

                • @runamuck: Hey guys, yes definately. We are waiting for a reply and will update once received (noting Xmas holidays).
I wouldn't personally know why they are smaller caps. They are definitely not Fakes and this is for sure, as they were supplied by Bonds as mentioned.

                • @runamuck: Hey guys - sorry for the wait. These trunks were exclusive to certain stores and we've been told that the lower letters are to differentiate them from the rest of the range which has upper caps. Thanks!

                  • @gkoutau: Thanks OP,

But that still doesn’t really make sense

“The lower case is to differentiate them from the rest of the range which has upper caps”

It makes no sense to have 2 “ranges” where the only difference is upper vs lower case on the band

What else is different between the ranges?

    • they need to get a new mx keys keyboard
