  Also been lower on Amazon itself too ~150-170. Unless you're desperate for a big speaker over the NY break then it's probably worth waiting.

  Highly recommend JBL Charge 5 via Good Guys Commercial over this - better speaker and cheaper ($134 + $8 Delivery (for me) or $0 C&C)

    Where is it cited as a better speaker? Apparently the charge only outputs mono, while the megaboom does stereo. Rtings says the megaboom is better.

      Which is better is also subjective.
      All models of Ultimate Ears BT speakers are known for having speakers on opposite sides to direct sound 360 degrees, better if a group of people are listening.
      JBL's Charge has a tweeter to split up the high frequencies from the mids/low so it probably gets a little louder due to less distortion. But it only sounds it's best in one direction if you are in front of it. If you are beside or behind the speaker the sound is less clear.
