No reason to shop from centrecon when they have repeated shown to deceive customers and cancel orders. Scamming POS like them deserve to be out of business.

I dont know if its within ozbargain rules but if you can I would change your posting title & link to another store.

    • what did I miss out? I'm by no mean a regular customer but I have to admit that most of the time they have better price than other stores.

Centre Con have a clause that they 'reserve the right to make a loss', which translates to 'we will make any deal thats posted on ozbargain go OOS but its not really OOS we just dont want to sell them for so cheap'. Prices like this posting where they are pricematching everyone else, may not go out so soon. Everything else? Good luck with your purchase, say with this deal we have a 9/9 canceled order. Or deals like this one and other gpu deals like it where its hard to tell if they have even 10 stocks 'avalible' before it was 'sold out' but not long before it was relisted at full price. Remember, these arent price errors or anything close to 'too good to be true' prices. They are on par for the course for ozbargain deal finds, but nothing extraordinary that centre con would actually make a loss.

God reading through that other thread it's borderline illegal, quick google of Bait advertising:

If there is not a reasonable chance the offer will be available at the advertised price, you may be in breach of the ACL unless you promptly offer a 'rain check', an acceptable substitute product or take other corrective action.

Example: An electronics retailer runs a campaign advertising 50-inch televisions at a price of $799 for a week-long sale. The retailer usually sells about 30 televisions of this type every week. The retailer only stocks two televisions at the advertised price and refuses to take customer orders.

When customers attempt to buy the television at the advertised price, they are told it is out of stock and offered a more expensive unit for $999. This is likely to be bait advertising as the retailer does not have a reasonable supply of the advertised television.

Their price is the only reason I would visit their store. Their customer service is non existent.

@trantonz: Good thing a few reputable places do either auto / on-request price matching.

@trantonz: I personally have never purchased from Centre Com but I have visited one of their stores, bad service, to say the least, staff just waddled about and seemed indifferent in helping. Ever since that experience, I vowed to never visit another one of their stores. I can only hope they don't have warranty/ACL claim scandals.

  • Thoughts vs the MX Keys for office and gaming usage? Considering upgrading but not sure if it's worth the difference.

    • I am not a fast typist, but prefer linear keys due to less force / no bump. This version which is the only one available is like the brown switches with tactile bump. Also if you want low profile then this is better than I'd say Razer Pro Type Ultra. https://au.pcmag.com/keyboards/94525/logitech-mx-mechanical-…

So I'd say it'd be a personal preference and maybe the type of game you're playing, but most gamers tend to go with linears or opticals.

Graphite English MX Mechanical Clicky : 920-010762 // like Blue switches (most annoying to some)
Graphite English MX Mechanical Linear : 920-010761 // Red switches
Graphite English MX Mechanical Tactile Quiet: 920-010760 // Brown switches (this is like in between Red and Blue)

Also if you want low profile then this is better than I'd say Razer Pro Type Ultra.

I'd say Keychron's low profile boards offer better value, the ability to hotswap is pretty huge and they're substantially cheaper as well

    • I had a dell old school keyboard for YEARS and YEARS… and I've been using a computer for a very long time.
A year ago I bit the bullet and bought MX Keys and I'm blown away at the difference. Amazing.
I touch type and the user experience is excellent. I have coupled it with the MX Master 3 mouse and I'm equally impressed at the massive difference.
It's a pleasure to type with MX Keys keyboard and an equal pleasure to use my mouse versus the old stuff I was using.

      Definitely worth the money. :)

    • Used to have the MX Keys for a WFH setup and would be too lazy to swap out for the Razer mechanical. Upgraded a few months ago to this MX Keys Mechanical, definitely the best of both worlds. Can use it for both WFH setup and gaming and I haven't had any latency / ghosting issues.

    • I'm enjoying mine, bought from ple or JB (can't remember). The only frustrating thing is my typing accuracy isn't great and so occasionally I hit the row of buttons above the numpad, one of which locks the screen

  • Planning to grab this keyboard ages ago but end up get something else as this keyboard until now not supported macro programming 😔

Man lemme guess: they wouldn't take bank deposit for C&C order? An extra 1.2% charge is kinda scummy.
