Nope no good. I guess it is very dependent on the store manager. Bit annoying when you can show them it has been sold for that price.
@grassyass: I think OW has a put a note or something in their system. I physically went to three different places and called a few near me and they all the did it's from Amazon UK spiel + 'the other store wasn't supposed to do that' when I showed them proof of sold price from the other commenters in this thread.

About to pull the trigger, but just wondering about the warranty situation. As it is sold by Amazon UK, would Amazon AU also assume warranty responsibility and accept return/exchange if it a DOA?

As far as I’m aware Amazon Au will look after any warranty issues, and from what I’ve read in most cases will just issue a refund.

Just a note to anyone that has an order still at ‘pending delivery date’, I contacted Amazon and they said the expedited shipping option has a lack of courier availability, so they told me to cancel the order and choose the priority international delivery option and they will refund me the amount ($37.09).
After placing the order I received an email straight away with an expected delivery date of January 17th.
Online support told me expected delivery date was now feb 23 but they would "put a note on the order to expedite shipping"… hope that means something real. :/
FWIW in the past, I've ordered from Amazon US/UK and found the delivery to be surprisingly fast, often arriving well before the eta (Prime expedited delivery that is).

@Sapiens: Update: @63pinecone approach again worked just now. I have an email from Amazon promising the refund of Priority International Delivery one it's arrived. Hopefully it all pulls through once it lands. Est Delivery date Jan 18-Feb17

I just ordered and got in touch with Customer Service outlining your experience and solution, and they were able to change it to Priority International Delivery straight away and promised to issue a refund for the difference once the phone has been delivered. Now I have an arrival date of 16 to 17 Jan (previously not specified).

Just asked Amazon on the delivery date, and they basically just told me to make the order again. Also no priority international delivery.
Was advised by Amazon support "I have forward your details to our team you don't face this type of problem again'' LOL.

What a train wreck. I should have just purchased elsewhere or another phone entirely, my fault for trying to find deals. Too bad I got the case already, otherwise would have just cancelled.

I got in contact with Amazon last week and they told me my package was in the 'advanced shipping stage' and would be shipped at any moment. Fortunately, I got the message today saying it has shipped via DHL and will Arrive by the 25th.
Price matched at Officeworks Petersham (Sydney) yesterday. In and out in less than 5 minutes. The guy just looked up the price on amazon on his personal phone and rang it through.

Trying to compare this to a Galaxy S20 Ultra which I can pick up refurbished 'as new' for $518. Or another similar priced phone that does great video. Finding it hard to find comparisons, most focus on photography. Cheers
Officeworks in Albury price matched this for me over the phone. They saw that it has $40 delivery on their end which they said had to be added when matching… Decided not to query it seeing as it's still a a great deal at ~$510
Update, someone other than who I spoke with on the phone ran the transaction and just did the 5% price beat, came out to about $450.

It's the exact same handset, and there's no "international stock" exclusion in the guarantee. Maybe try a different store or something

So ordered on the 10th of jan. The package came today but the phone wasn’t in the package. Used priority shipping at the extra cost. The pixel box seal had been cut and the phone wasn’t in it but the Amazon packaging was sealed. So no phone came :( Amazon au couldn’t send another one as it was uk stock and they were out. Got refunded. Hopefully this was just me.

Yep, same here. Have contacted Amazon three times now. Each time they've said it will ship in the next couple of days… But it still hasn't shipped.
I was told today it will arrive on 21st Feb. I would cancel the order except I purchased 450 in gift cards to buy it and have no need for that amount of Amazon credit. Quite annoying as it said it was in stock when I purchased.
I tried getting the upgrade to priority shipping as mentioned above but no luck.
I cancelled mine the other day after waiting so long and picked one up from Officeworks yesterday for $531..they price beat Catch.
