    Note "Activate by 31.01.23".

    • +2

FWIW that's just for the double data bonus offer

      • What about excluding the double data bonus offer? How long after purchase to activate?

        • +1

On the back of the pack it says, "Starter Pack expires 365 days after purchase if not activated." You'll get whatever bonus offers are in effect at the time (if any) when you activate it.

You can activate it on 365-day pay and go plan, which beats the Aldi Mobile $5 SP in value.

It is a good way to keep a spare number active.

It was first mentioned here and did not expire.

    • wait what, you can get a yearly plan for $5

      • +2

Yes, but every time you use it, it'll charge from the $40 till 0. Almost no data can be used during the 365 days (maybe up to 1GB lol). It is for infrequent use only.

It is also OK for your main number if you always have a spare SIM like Boost 28 day (from CR for free) in the same phone.

        • So SMS and calls get taken off the $40 for the whole year? What are the call rates lol

          • +2

@CVonC: You can find it on VF website, Pay and Go plan. It is 20c per min talk, per SMS. To my surprise, int'l call may be cheaper to some countries.

        • yep, I actually had something similar that Vodafone put me on just to pay off a phone and I never used the sim however it said I used it to make calls/ texts and so on and it automatically changed me to another plan which made me not trust Vodafone anymore.

If I can prevent that from happening then this would be a good spare sim to use for deals and so on

Bing Lee's website shows this as a "clearance stock", which is technically excluded from OW's price beat guarantee, so YMMV.

Yea had no luck Officeworks BP.

only NSW where Bing Lee available?

    • Try Officeworks, or some for $7-8 on eBay from private sellers if having no access to the store.

      • There’s a seller on eBay with stock for $7 free shipping, I went with this.

    • No Bing Lee stores have this available in my area, and delivery is also not available.

Would price match work in other states?

  • It would have to be same state or it would include shipping fee before pricematching
Must not be clearance price and has to be in stock =p

Although with that , some officework team probably wouldnt know all that , you can try

My experience with them on the phone has been pretty good, depends on who you talk to. Instore at my local is another story. These days if i try to pricebeat I call and C&C to avoid them.

      • I had no luck because they are marked clearance.

  • Pretty sure they support E-SIM?

  • Tried online as well. Was advised product code is different to office works 50GB vs 60GB deal. Tried explaining it's just the voucher..

Tried officeworks for price match. They said there's no local store and delivery isn't available either (in VIC metro), so can't price match.

  • Is this only available at Bing Lee and Officeworks? What about physical Vodafone stores?

Bing Lee clearance stock while stock lasts.
