Was looking around at some Lego kits to build with the daughter over school holidays and found this Camaro set I have been waiting on to come down in price. Was hanging around the $250~$300 price range, so $205 seemed pretty good.

This is for a pre-order, but it is only 12/1/23 release (for this shipment), so 12 days away?? I also added it to cart and auto added was a "mystery gift" and at check out, the price was then reduced to $201.87, your mileage may vary on that. From previous experience at this time of year, it's usually a Chinese New Year themed mini kit or a left over from xmas or easter.

Edit: It seems as though the "mystery gift" may have been removed or has sold out/been fully allocated. The Camaro kit was reported as "sold out", but I am still able to add the kit to cart and get all the way to paying for it, so, you may have to clear cart and try again (note: when I add to cart now, it does not automatically add the "mystery gift")

      How so?

      Assuming you're referring to 10265; they're almost the same size, piece count and have really similar builds. If they were the same colour people would be hard pressed to tell them apart.

      If you meant 42138, then yes absolutely.

        Yep, 10265. Talking to tony's point about replication of the real car, I think the Mustang was a bit of a fail. Yes, you can tell it's a Mustang, but it's a pretty clunky, ugly version.

        I think this Camaro is a little cleaner. Closer front end to the real thing and they at least attempted the curved 3/4 panels.

  That's just the date when MyHobbies will receive more stock of this set.

  It was officially released on 01/08/22.

      No dice. I actually added it to cart initially and then went to check out. It was then removed saying sold out.

  Would never buy a Camaro model as the car itself doesn't interest me (gotta draw the line somewhere on buying Lego!) But have to concede this looks seriously good!

  Already Bugatti, Porsche London Bus, BatMobile , Batwing, grand Piano, etc etc are pending to built … so passing this for now but certainly in future

  Tempted to buy and resticker the headlights & grille to match my RS, Although the tail lights would need some work.
  Rather interesting they went for the z28 which is even more rare than the base Model
