    • what bundle?

      • +24
        • I want to buy, but I just don't need them.

          😂😂😂

What do I do with my wired Bose? Are they even worth a dollar these days? 😂

        • Order placed, thanks a lot!

        • +1

Cheers - purchased. Was able to stay strong for the XM5 and QC45 deals but finally gave in

        • +1

Jesus thank you. Just squeezed in an order before the price change

      • +1

Headphone and a travel adaptor for $249.61, a lot of people missed this

        • -1

          $13 for a travel adaptor?

I never thought about that, because my old pair actually contained it.

        • Thanks got 1

    • Gold!!! Thank you!

    • cheers got one, life saver

  • -6

Posts like this show how many lurkers there are ready to pounce.

No upvote, no thanks, no contributing. Just in for the kill and resell. Get lost losers.

  • Got 2, have the quiet comfort earbuds when JB had them half price, see how these one's compare.

  • This or the XM5 for sound quality?

  • Do these have audio/video syncing issues via bluetooth? I hate that about wireless earbuds

    • I've literally never had that with any wireless earphones/headphones.

      • -1

I dont get that on mobile phone but on PC via adaptor it seems like a major issue. I tried 4 BT adaptors

        • You sure you aren't getting some other interference?

I've put one of my mouse or keyboard dongles on a small extension to get away from the back of the board as that was causing intermittent connectivity issues.

BT can be very temperamental. Had other issues like that before.

Negged for trying to help. Fk this site. And others are too…. And a few around me. Atleast the flog used their votes I guess.

  • hated how the xm5 doesnt fold like xm4 when its on my neck, see how this one goes.

  • I bought a pair 😂 FML

It will match my HP laptop.

    I had $100+ GC on my account from discounts so $250 - $10 = $240

I can probably sell if I don't like.

Still have 2 of those earphones from the Bose deal 🤐

  • Back again for $375, there is a chance these will be cancelled

    • I don't think so. They were matching a price.

      • Fingers crossed for everyone then.

        • It ain't $100 odd big Hard Drives level of stupid pricing anyway.

      • Likely to be honoured :)

  • Missed it :(

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i missed it

  • What are these like compared to the QC35? I like my QC35 but the headband is starting to get a bit stained/old (I replaced the ear muffs a couple of times already so they are fine).

    • +2

I have had my QC35 for about 6 years and they're the best purchase I've ever made. I use them hours a day.

That being said, I jumped in for these so first new cans in 6 years.

  • Lol, some one probably applied the %off to the RRP, good luck to those who purchased, this is definitely the lowest ever

    • Amazon were price matching DJ earlier as commented by RichardL
Since DJ went oos, they reverted back to the next price they’d match

  • -1

    Back to $237

    • +1

      Hit refresh

      • Actually, it did momentarily…

    • Good joke 👍

  • +2

Not trying rain on your parade guys but $237 is about all it’s worth.

    • +1

Pretty sure most people buying them to flip. Already popping up on ebay

      • Really?
Honestly I never think about that.

I always think tech is risky to resell, but U spose if you make $50 a pop it's good money.

You still have to outlay 1k to make $200, factor in meeting people blah blah.

Not sure how much they'd list these for on marketplace.

        • Ebay no fees at the moment, you can see past sale prices etc. Not really that risky, especially as they could just return them to amazon no questions asked. That's what everyone was doing with PS5's as well.

          • @vodamerc: Yeah ps5 in huge demand tho!

  • Gonne have to keep an eye out for QC45 deals now I'm keeeen

  • +1

I just cancelled my order. Does seem that I need it in term of sound quality.
    Will wait for xm5

    • Shure B&O and sennheiser all have their NC headphones that have way way better sound than this one. Bose NC 700 has disappointed a lot users who thought it is the successor of QC35II in many ways.

      • And how much do they cost?

        • Up to you

          • @panterali: 2-3x the price for better headphones? I mean we're talking chalk and cheese here…

            • @pharcyde: I was replying someone looking for a pair of good “sound quality”. Words are only meaningful in context.

I also didn’t say they are better, they are just with good “sound quality”

NC 700 is better, much better if it makes you happy.

              • @panterali: My reference is from sony ier-z1r so i am kinda bass head. Bose 700 is exactly the same as its previous version in term of sound quality.
I do regret about cancelling it, lol

  • Come on amazon relist it for those that missed it

  • -1

These better be made of titanium for $600 and not plastic..

  • +2

these are reviewed as having ok sound quality, certainly not as good as competitors. probably what they are worth. BOSE Better off Spending Elsewhere

  • -1

wait it seems $400 is the normal price so it's not even 50% off, how is this a deal to go crazy about

    • RRP is $599.95 according to Bose’s website

  • Arguably an even better deal than the XM5

  • Thanks S L.

Picked up the bundle for $229.61 after an Amex $20 cash back.

If I don't like them I'm sure my son will.

    • Care to explain

        • +1

Sounds like a case of someone who missed out taking the piss …. is that you Franco

People are going to be kicking themselves

I bet you are already kicking yourself from missing out on this

          • -6

@easternculture: I don't like spoon feeding the smug

I also may have explained this many times before.

    • +3

Makes seemingly informed comment about why all of these people will regret their purchase. Acts superior when they refuse to elaborate and expects everyone to have been following with their informed post history.

Great contribution mate. Really glad to have you on the team.

      • Haha. This commenr made my day

      • -4

Go look at my comments and similar headphone deals, you'll quickly understand why I'm tired of repeating myself… hell google 'Bluetooth Audio 2023' and you'll get your answer.

        At this point, IYKYK.

        • I did google it and it has some pretty damm good reviews, especially at this price point.

Negative reviews would be conparing it to $500+ headphones. But comapring to headphones at $250 price point or even $350, this is a winner

          • -1

@easternculture: You've misunderstood my statement: this has little to do with this headphone beyond the Bluetooth format and codec it uses.

For sound quality, these all get destroyed by $100ish wired headphones, and the 700 in particular are tonally imbalanced and of weaker technical quality compared to the QC35/45 and the XM3 and up.

Almost every bluetooth headphone is about to get massively superseded.

            • @jasswolf: .
              ^^
This guy likes to talk riddles

              • -1

@easternculture: Yeah that's not what's happening here. Good luck with your pedalling of posts and upvotes, I guess.

            • @jasswolf:

Almost every bluetooth headphone is about to get massively superseded.

As has happened with every piece of technology ever.

              • -2

@vodamerc: Do you seriously think I would emphasise this if it were an iterative update?

                I'm not a car salesman…

  • Oh man… that’s what happened if u only check the site once Per day…..well, $237 saved.

  • +1

Just received mine and setting it up.
I noticed that it said "Mike's Bose NC 700 Headphones"
Does this mean I got a used product as unsure why it would say Mike

    • +1

Must have auto sync'd with ozbargain

      Username checks out

    • Does your name start with Mike

    • does it not come sealed?

      • It was somewhat sealed, I've haven't looked at it at jb hi fi or anything to see how it is supposed to look new.
So just seeing if anyone else got random names or anything when connecting to headphones via phone bluetooth

        • Watch an unboxing video on youtube. That will give you a good idea.

          • @unity1: yeah there were two versions of the unboxing which made me confused watched a few more and the one I got came up so it is new packaging but still the name though anyway contacted Amazon they said it shouldn't have a name so will be replacing it

            • @michael9865: mine had a plastic seal at the bottom of the box that I had to pull off

    • Got the replacement and it doesn't have a name on it.
But when i type i can hear after effective echoes on the headphones

  • +1
    • So you think this will drop prices immediatly. Your dreaming.
Going to take at least 1 year before we see any real significant price drop in these headphones.

Best example is wifi AC, wifi6 and so on. There hasnt been any significant drop in prices of high end routers

      • How can you have this much of a presence on this website, be invested in understanding this product segment, and then post this comment? It's either ignorant or delusional.

Some products have already been announced, phone/tablet support is 18 months deep, some released gear is guaranteed to be upgraded, and we're about to see a slew of new announcements.

        Wake up

        • -1

So i shouldnt buy a 13th gen intel laptop because 14th gen has been announced.🤣🤣🤣

          Jasswolf is hillarious

          • -3

@easternculture: It's not equivalent mate, and if you'd even read a single sentence of the article you'd have figured that out.

            Actually clueless

            • @jasswolf: It actually is

You are talking about new tech which applies to everything in the world

Anyway, no one cares what you think because we are all enjoying our bose headphones.

See you at the next bose bargain with your useless theories

    • -1

Bluetooth LE Audio is useless tech. AC3 codec isnt good for much. Its designed to replace SBC codec not LDAC or APTX. So really it doesn't improve on anything.

      • Useless?

      • -1

Exactly. But i wouldnt say useless. I was reading about it yesterday

Jasswolf is just trolling because he missed out.
I bet he tried a Franco with amazon support and they just laughed at him.

But wait 6G has been announced, In before Jasswolf says not to buy any 5G devices as they will be useless in 7 years 🤣🤣🤣🤣

      • +1

LC3*, but sure, you're on top of this.

LC3Plus is a thing, and both support low latency modes superior to AptX LL, while LC3Plus exceeds LDAC.

Good chest beating though, I had chills.

        • APTX and LDAC runs on bluetooth classic and is pretty much at the peak potential of bluetooth transmission. LC3 wont have any benefits to these already established standards.

Both source and headphone also need to be on at least bluetooth 5.3 for LC3 to work. Its just too much hassle for no big benefit.

This article sums it up pretty well: https://www.whathifi.com/features/why-bluetooth-le-and-the-n…

          • @fuzor: That article is an epic rant that couldn't even define LC3Plus fully despite reading the papers on it, on a website that is well known in the audio community for being a referral/ad revenue scam.

Almost all of their reviews get 4 or 5 stars.

LC3 uses superior compression techniques and the LE protocol to take bitrate up 425 kbps, at which point quality is above 1 Mbit SBC equivalent, ie. most previous codec standards (perhaps all of them, perceptually).

LC3Plus uses A2DP, and in the case of its high resolution mode fully utilities Bluetooth Classic as needed while being able to push latency down to 2ms. Lossless is possible, just not recommended. Standard LC3Plus profiles max out at 1 Mbit/s, the same as previous Bluetooth Classic profiles.

Finally, Bluetooth LE Audio came in with 5.2, but LC3 is backwards compatible, just reliant on a firmware update to be developed by the relevant manufacturers.

That article is misinformation, arguably disinformation intended to generate more page views to farm site revenue by generating outrage.

Here's an article with official comments on these codecs: https://audioxpress.com/news/specification-under-development…

  • Any feedback from users yet?

I got mine, haven't opened yet.
