$25 off $160 Minimum Spend @ Woolworths

500
YOUR25

I just signed up for a free trial for a free delivery for Woolworths. I live 45km away from my next Woolworths so this is very handy. I also found this code YOUR25, $25 off on a spent of $160, which is a great saving. I don’t know if this is for the first online order, I couldn’t find it anywhere else. Probably only works once. So please be gentle with me!

Good saving, will be interesting to see how you find there fresh food selection they pick out for you.

    • I have only chosen one small packet of potatoes and one bag of apples from the veggie and fruit fresh food selection. I have also some milk and some general stuff. What is your experience?

My experience that somewhat understandably BUT disappointingly you can almost guarantee you will be given the oldest stock for ANYTHING perishable. Even older than stuff that is on the shelves!!!

Example - I click & collect ordered - the eggs I ordered that came with the C&C order had 1 week before their BBD - I thought this odd as it's usually always a month or so. Asked to leave my order at the front desk, went inside and sure enough NOTHING on the shelves was even close to as old as those eggs I was given. Everything had ~1month before BBD.

Understandable as they want to rotate out old stock but I won't be ordering any perishables/fresh from them again - just staples etc.

        • I have ordered eggs, so I will have an eagle eye on the expiry dates and will complain about any short dated products. Thanks for sharing your experience.

        • I doubt woolies have an allocated section for old stock for click and collect orders..

Possibly unlucky with the short dated eggs.

As for perishable items, fruit/ veg etc. I can't see workers having time to or caring too much about what they pick but some would also have a good eye.
I'd say it would be hard to know which customers prefer what 100% of the time..

I did online shopping few times - when I couldn't have time to go around the shop. Don't have bad experience so far - may be because that particular Woolworths is always busy, so they didn't have old stock in their store (I had experience visiting one, quiet Woolworths store and they did reduce to clear items, while in the store I'm usually do my grocery shopping, it was full price).

Another positive experience: I bought 1kg fresh, whole fish, and they gave me 1.4kg of fish. Did online shopping for this item since I never have chance to get it in store - otherwise I prefer to see, check and select the fish by myself.

But never bought veggies or fruit online, since for these particular items, I really need to check and select.

  • Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion.

  • Just a heads up It must be targeted as it doesn't work on my account

    • Maybe it is only for the first online delivery. I have a bigger property with 2 addresses. I would just create another account on my wife’s name with the other house number. I don’t think it’s targeted, I didn’t get it personally from Woolworths, I found it online at honey.

  • I got $10 off $170 spend

    • Doesn’t work for me for delivery, but I don’t mind. $20 off $160 is better if it works. Is $10 of $170 not just for direct to boot?

      • yeah direct to boot.

        • Sorry it’s 25 off 160 spent…

  • I can only see 10 off of 170 with SUMMER

    • 25$ off 160 worked for my first online delivery order I placed today.

  • Surprising that they're willing to deliver that far away. They'd be losing a ton of money unless somehow heaps of other people in your area are getting deliveries on the same day.

    • A lot of other people get it delivered in our area. I see the Woolies truck most days. We don’t have public transport to the next town being 45km away. Coles does not deliver here.

  • Signed up a new account - did the free trial but the code did not work with $200+ of stuff - bummer, perhaps is targetted to limited folks or not working at all anymore.
