This is the grey coloured one (cheapest delivered) and also a superseded model which is around A$590 plus delivery in Australia (the newer '2022' model is A$699 and has a more powerful 300 watt amp). There are also white and black ones at various different prices and even the shipping price varies (may vary depending where you are in Australia too).

You'll have to buy an Australian power cord and kiss goodbye to any warranty (too expensive to bother returning) as I can't see the Australian distributer being willing to help you.

I wanted a modest sealed sub (instead of ported) as my understanding (from watching a few YouTubes) is this gains accuracy with a loss of overall volume.

    I had to Google/Youtube to find out about this. Am I right that paper gives good sound, but is more susceptible to damage? In my case I don't intend to abuse the sub (play it loud and hard) so hopefully it'll be ok.

      I think the damage is more about long term damage from humidity etc. It's not as durable to wear from environment compared to say, a fibre material made of plastic etc.

  What about this one? Available locally and seems like way better value. Not sealed but from what I read there isn't as big of a difference as people think.

  If you browse their website they have refurbs available for $160 to $180. They are probably returns from people who realized they needed a bigger sub.

  Doesn't sound too good when 4 out of 5 models have issues. Kanto seem to be quick to respond and replace but I wouldn't try my luck outside the US.

    It's ported, but interestingly they supply a foam plug to stop up the port - effectively making it a sealed one (they reckon)! It is 100 watts RMS whereas this Kanto one is 125 RMS (pretty close).

      Yeah just worth pointing out though, even A grade refurbished might be missing the foam plug it says.

  You'll have to buy an Australian power cord

  You may need a power converter as well

  I have 2x US-spec Sony subs, both plugged into power converters

  This seems pricey for 125W RMS… Bedroom or PC setup maybe?

    No, this one is multi voltage, so it's just the plug at the wall end that's the issue.

    Better off getting them from kanto.com.au for $699, or another Australian seller for the warranty cover. Just look out for the 2022 or 300 watt model.

        Oh, I was looking at the newer 2022 model thinking they were the only ones that came in Matt white, but the older ones do too, so cheaper.
