I'm assuming this may be a glitch but 12 boxes of Cadbury chocolate gift boxes for $12 and you can't go wrong… This is for online orders not in store… In-store price is 2 for $12. Only need to make sure you spend at least the minimum $50 and you'll be all set.

Picked up our 20 box order at 10am, they said Head office told them to cancel any orders over 20 so we just scraped through

  • Got all 24 thanks OP! (ACT)

    • May I know what suburb Coles did you collect from pls

  • Emailed unable to fulfill
20 mins later email stating items substituted for Cadbury Favourites Boxed Chocolate 570g

Upgraded at no cost. (Syd) Deal of the year… thanks SS!

  • +5

Anyone bothered complaining about order being cancelled despite having substitution ticked? It's pretty poor customer service to straight up cancel the whole order (including other items to hit the $50) just so they can get out of substitution.

    • +1

I sent them a text on their number 0429989656 and they claimed that I didn't have substitutions selected, even though I made sure that I did because knew this deal would get ozbargained. All my experiences with Coles Customer Support have been shit, so only shop there when there is a good deal

      • +1

They're trying to tell me that ordering 12 items or more is a bulk order and therefore it requires 4 days notice hence why they canceled it. If that was the case why didnt they just delay my order by 4 days? Not to mention that their website allows this "bulk order" without any warning.

        • +5

Yeh Coles CS must have a rolodex of random excuses they pull out each time

I didn't read it properly and ordered 5 thinking it was 5 sets of 12. Now spending 30min trying to get a refund.

  • Thanks op,Collected mine. Order of 12. Epping, Vic

I ordered 24 boxes for $24. I’m picking up 10 boxes of 570g Favourites. I think they’ve done a like for like on grams content. This is fine. Much prefer Favourites. :)

    • I would have preferred favourites too… well done.

I feel like an unlucky one that got 24 of 24 fulfilled. 1000 Pickup Dinallea WA.

I looked like a proper adult collecting 24 boxes of chocolates, some frozen meals and steak.

I imagined the boxes would be bigger tbh

    • +6

Good way to piss off your customers to Woolworths.

      • +2

Yep, I canceled my order at Coles and went shopping to WW instead.

  • Picked up my order this morning in Perth, looks like I got all 24 ordered!

  • +2

Got 23 boxes of Roses 450g and 1 of the actual box ordered. Yay for some cheap gifts.

  • If only Halloween was around the corner, 6kg of chocolate would make a lot of kids happy 😆

  • ended up with 8xfavorites 570g and 4 of the og ordered ones TY OP

  • +2

Wow all I got was an email saying that there were no substitutes and that I wasnt charged for the chocolate.

When I picked up they just gave me 3 bottles of shampoo (that I also ordered). I'll end up returning them as I'm not gonna reward them with a sale for their bait and switch

    • +1

Bait and switch? hardly. This is the game we play. sometimes we win, sometimes we lose.

      • Fair enough. It might not be a usual bait and switch but it had the same effect: I bought more than I normally would have.

At least the returns are easy enough with Coles

  • Thanks OP. Just picked up 24 boxes.
A quick google search also shows them listed for $1.00 at cadburys so must be on clearance.

    • If you click on any item on the Cadbury website, it briefly shows $1 while the page loads before updating to having no pricing as you can't actually buy through Cadbury.

  • Picked mine up, was honoured but the store was OOS of these, so I got given 12 x 570g Favourites boxes instead. Not gonna complain about that

  • +1

No luck in Carindale. No stock. Asked to cancel entire order. Went shopping to WW afterwards. Not gonna reward Coles for such practices.

  • Just rec'd email that I'll get 12 x Cadbury Favourites Boxed Chocolate 570g.

    I'm happy with that.

    Cheers OP.

    • Much much better than Roses, and better than the original order. Score! You have a generous picker.

  • I managed to get 12 boxes of the Cadbury chocolates (Gift Box)…..

  • Item you ordered Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Gift Box 220g 15 0
    Item we supplied
Lindt Lindor Assorted Chocolate Bag 125g
Lindor milk, white, dark, and hazelnut balls 11

No luck, Shall i keep them or not?

    • +1

Definitely. Better quality chocolates and selling for $9 each. Needs to be refrigerated. Melts easily.

      • Thank you, i thought they will give me at least 15 pack , but only 11 .

        • The picker knows Lindt is better quality and more expensive. Still great value.

        • The price $1 each?

  • +2

    @Sydneyswans Thanks so much.
When I picked up the order, I counted 12 boxes.
When I got home, I found 2 more so 14 in total for $12.
    2 with expiry 18/8/23, 11 expiry 12/9/23 & 1 expiry 8/11/23.

Just spoke to a Coles customer service rep who I won't name but sounded extremely annoyed that he had to do his job and actually respond to customers.

He said "Do you know how many people who have rang up crying about those chocolates today? Uhh-ahh not saying you are crying…." awkward silence. Spent 30 mins of my time being bounced between email (including forgoing my lunch break), live chat and phone - the result is I will be refunded within the next week. Yeah, thanks for nothing champ.

Extremely unprofessional from Coles. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

    • +1

Do you know how many customer service reps have been crying about those chocolates today??? ;-)

Don't you hate it when your corporate overseer posts a hald decent bargain and people actually want to buy them? Isn't that just the worst?

  • Made two order, one got completely cancelled and the other got half

  • Thanks op. Got mine.

  • God dammit, why didn't I click on this? Didn't realise it was such a crazy bargain

  • +4

Lesson learnt: should have allowed substitute

    • +1

But you can get unlucky tho, they substitute product with the cost only $1

  • +5

I made an order for 12 boxes last night at like 10:30pm, plus around $60 of other stuff for delivery. I got an email at 6:26am telling me the hour they were planning to come - between 4-5pm. I got an email telling me my cereal was out of stock, and no substitute (no choc mention) at 1pm… Then I get an SMS saying my order is Cancelled!!! And simultaneously I get an email saying my order is Cancelled at 1:05pm. The reason they gave "unsuccessful payment"… I'm thinking.. what a joke! I paid with PayPal, with my Amex. The pending charge was in PayPal, and in Amex. So.. why cancel??? I didn't like their lies!!! Just tell me you don't have the chocolates! Tell me it was a price error… Remove just the chocolate from the order and deliver everything else… Like, just don't lie about it and cancel my entire order, then tell me to order again.. when I'm literally leaving tomorrow for a little holiday (hence other stuff in order)… I was soooooo annoyed. The person I was chatting with was blowing me off and disregarding everything I was saying. Not admitting it. I asked who I could talk to about the unsuccessful payment.. and she gave me the same number that I initially called.. then ended the chat session.. "ran away". Man… I was riled up. So… Fine… I called Amex… Just to prove to myself I was right… Don't care about the damn order any more.. Just don't lie about it Coles!!! So.. Amex CONFIRMED the payment was authorised!!!!! NOT denied… So it was all lies!!!!!!!! I'm thinking.. your damn loss because I had like $60 of other stuff in that stupid order.

Plot twist.. at 4:55pm my order arrived at my doorstep… with 12 chocolate boxes!!!!!! (Slightly different to the picture, no bow or giftcard) But 12 x 220g Cadbury boxes!!!

    Aaaahhhhh that's my story!

    • +2

Wow! Coles know how to piss off customers. Glad you got your order with the choc boxes in the end. The boxes I got are the same as yours, and made in Australia (not UK).

  • Plenty in QLD, just picked mine up 😃

  • Picked mine, 12 boxes as ordered

  • Just picked up, received all 12.

    • … and now I get the SMS from Coles to say that they can't honour it. Bit late for that.

  • +6

Coles Online: Good afternoon. We recently advertised online Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Gift Box 220g as '12 for $12'.
We regret to advise this is incorrect and the correct offer is '2 for $12'. Unfortunately we are unable to honour the offer previously promoted and apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused. We take pricing errors very seriously, so please be assured we are looking into this matter to prevent any further issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding. No Reply SMS.

Picked up my 24 this morning :P

Hahah I just go this too! Suckerrrrrrrs

  • +1

Neighbour got 24 x tiny cadbury bars that are usually at the check out counter as substitutes! Customer service refused to entertain him and told him to go in store to return item and get refund. He was fuming.

My last order with coles in December was worth $210 with items worth $120 completely missing with no refund provided and some other items substituted with coles branded inferior products(finish dish tabs with coles, huggies with cubs etc with price difference not refunded either). No refund for out of stock items, missing items and lower priced substitutes. I was out of pocket around $170 on a $210 order. Customer service said they dont know how to process refunds and that it should've happened automatically. Escalated to manager who assured refund but nothing happened. Another 3 calls and a month later i still don't have my refund or products i was charged for. Spoke to the rude local store manager with rainbow mowhawk who said there is nothing she can do for online orders even though it was her store that screwed up. Anyways needless to say never shopping at coles again.
On the other hand woolies have always been just fabulous, efficient and a delight to shop with.

    • +3

“Neighbour got 24 x tiny cadbury bars” sorry but that’s hilarious 😂

    • +1

We've used Woolies online a number of items. A couple times items were missing or wrong, as soon as you start the process it refunds the money almost right away. This is good process. I know how it works, I don't abuse it. Coles are a mess in general.

  • +2

Just got the text message as well.

Afraid i picked up my 24 an hour ago. Sorry coles :D

    • Same here haha

    • The culprit will be dealt with 😆

      • +1

        Dialling wand, aisle 3.

  • I ordered 12, but only got $4, which they charged me $4. I honestly forgot how sweet UK was. Brings back memories. Thanks OP

  • +1

I've eaten too many already and lost count.
First bite - too much sugar, yuk.
However I persisted and the tiny chocs taste better the more I eat.
    I'm now hooked.
P.S. Usually consume Koko Black and Lindt.

    • +1

From memory the nut ones are better

      • Yes. But in full mode sugar addiction, they all tasted good in the end even the caramel ones.

Received the above message from coles…too late lol. Already collected.

Tips from this deal: (I'm on a sugar high)

    • Allow substitution and if not happy, can return for refund
    • Choose the earliest pick up or delivery times
    • Pick up as soon as order is ready for collection
    • Order from the Coles that you know have nicer staff
    • The items that made up the $50 order that you may not need, can be returned for refund
    • +4

Usually true with the earlier pickup time, however I feel that the 10am slot was probably best bang for buck. I was midday and did ok… $24 for 10x 570g Favourites… they did a like for like on grams.

      • The 8am crowd got Dairy Milk
      • The 10am crowd got Roses
      • The midday crowd got Favourites
      • The 2pm+ crowd got apologies
      • +1

You did well with the Favourites. Probably the best choc out of the 3.
According to online reviews, Favourites taste better than Roses.
Old version of Roses were better.

        • +1

Yep, I think Favourites were the better of all the outcomes. However I received 10 570g boxes for my $24. I had a friend receive 12 boxes of 570g for her $12…. like for like. I told her she owes me one!

      • +1

I picked up at 4pm and got mine
