I would say samsung is better deal if it's better at drying clothes, $500 is nothing if it's twice as good

        • +4

How could it possibly be twice as good ?

Do you have any reason to think the Samsung is actually any better at drying clothes ? Because it certainly isn't going to be 100% better at it 😁

          • @Nom: I'm assuming you missed the word "if" which is why i am asking how is Samsung better assuming it has a higher price tag. Apart from the smart features

              I did 😁

Does anyone have this and can share how effective it is at drying? (Time, number of items etc.)

    • I have it. It takes 1.5hours to dry load. I only use the 'mix' cycle. Noticed the decrease in energy bills from previous dryer. I hang soaking towels on the clothes line.

I’ve had one for almost 2 years. Hasn’t skipped a beat. Insane value. Weisman is right that it takes about 1.5-2hrs for a full load. I put all my towels and sheets in etc., straight out of the washing machine. Can’t fault the dryer though. I paid $619 for my 7KG version.

    • Slower than my previous dryer. Lots of wet towels or bed linen can take a bit over 90 mins but its awesome not having crazy humidity dripping off the walls in the laundry anymore. Once you get heat pump dryer you never go back 😎
Cant comment on specific energy usuage but household daily average has never exceeded 14 kWh for a 3bedroom house with 4ppl and 1 person working from home every day. I use the dryer for school uniforms (who the hell thought white shirts in primary school is a good idea?) and when it's raining lots otherwise hand washing out in the sun.

      • who the hell thought white shirts in primary school is a good idea?

Even if they were black, kids will still somehow manage to dirty them in such a way that the stain will still show and be a pain to clean 😂

If you have an snsxxxxx code specific to account it is taking off $60 just fyi

    • I saw that too. Right after I processed the order of the last one in stock. It’s OOS now. The feeling of losing out on an extra $10 savings really hurts the heart in true ozb style. Oh well, at least I got the last one

  • Doesn't ship to Brisbane :(

  • Eligible for SA gov rebate as well.

    • No code

I’m actually on my third warrants claim on this unit in the last 8 months. First issue was a sensor fault which would only allow the dryer to run for maximum 3mins before beeping an error… technician came out, had a whinge about always having to fix this issue by disabling the sensor because he is sick of sending them to landfill…. Second call out was about a month later where the dryer will run for hours continuously Without actually drying the load…. Now been waiting about a month for a technician to come out for a third time to fix the same issue, or replace. Eassato refuse to send a replacement until their technician verifies… have followed up twice (allowing for Christmas closure too) and still waiting for a technician to book a time.

I wouldn’t buy another after this.

    • Agreed. Waiting for a Beko to go on sale similar to this one

    • +1. Crap customer service experience after it broke down after 6 months. After a number of emails and confusion from their end, the only resolution was for me to bring it back to the store for a refund. Bunnings don’t have them in stock anymore, so looks like I’m now without a dryer. Annoying

  • order placed just now. it was not oos!

there should be one left after my order.

  • Oos now :(

    • Came back in stock and i managed to order one

  • doesn't post to sydney?

  • available now

  • I bought one on the Sat 7th Jan and it got delivered on the 9th! The delivery guys were so efficient that it took just 5 mins to transport and install the dryer and do a test run. Impressed by AO and the delivery.
Oh they also took away my old dryer too!
