remember old days when it was Minimum $10 Spend, family lunch essentially was for free )))

    • +16

And unlimited use. I use to use it in the cafeteria, then at the checkout, then grabbed a bag of meatballs for free in the food section at the exit. Sigh, good times.

      • +4

        WHAT

      • +4

I got many free ladda batteries

        • haha yeah me too

          good times

      • you guys realise that these things end because of websites like ozb right?

they'll bring it back but the coupons will be targeted and earned from legit purchases so they can't be abused

      • Love your work. I guess this is the real reason the program is ending.

        • I respectfully disagree. Obviously I can only speak for myself but I always used my own vouchers so a $30 discount for the $100+ I spent there every quarter would hardly make a dent. And then they raised the minimum spend to $50 a long time ago anyway so there’s no reason why they couldn’t have continued with that model.

  • +3

It's the second last quarterly reward (sadly). Q1-23 will be the last quarter to earn $10 reward which will be delivered in Apr-23.

    • +1

      ^ this.
      Have received the notice.
Haven't received my $10 off yet

  • I think this is the last time? I got an email about them discounting the discount last week

  • +2

Nope, this is the 2nd last.
If you spend $100 between Jan-Mar 2023, you will get the very last QR code in April, to be spent between Apr-Jun 2023.

  • +5

The BLÅHAJ will be mine >:D

  • Just got email from ikea saying this reward program will be ending in Apr.

    • -1

no, it's ending in 30 June (the April quarter)

      • No it ends 31 March.

Quarter 1, 2023 will be the last quarter that IKEA Family members who spend $100 from January to March 2023 can earn a $10 Quarterly Reward.

        • Semantic.
You accrue bonus in quarter x to redeem in quarter x+1.

Q1 is the last quarter you can accrue the reward ($100 spend)
But you can redeem the $10 through Q2.

In a way you're both right.

          • -1

            @ShouldIBuyIt: Not really.

The reward program ends on 31 March.

If you meet the criteria in that quarter you'll get a voucher, bit it's just a voucher that's no different to any other voucher IKEA offers. The reward program has still ended.

            • @spaceflight: Is it that hard to understand basic rationale?
The reward program ends on the day when you can't use your reward anymore.
Not on the day you can't earn new rewards.
The Q1 23 reward is part of the reward program, and it's still valid in Q2 23.
Therefore the reward program itself ends on 30 June.
It's a REWARD program. Not a random voucher offer.

              • @TanedaR:

Is it that hard to understand basic rationale?

It really seems like it is for you.

The reward program ends on March 31.

After that you'll just have a voucher that gives you a discount, not a reward program.
The reward program does not need to be running to use a voucher.
A voucher is not a reward program either.

Therefore the reward program itself ends on 30 June.

No it doesn't because after March 31 you can't earn new rewards.

It's also amazing that you know exactly when the voucher will expire, when all IKEA has said is

the redemption period will be stated on that email.

  • Can I just scan this in store and save $5 for click and collect?

    • +4

I believe you can, but some staffs will check your email.

      • Ah okay. I think they have self checkout last time I went there.

  • +1

Last time I went to IKEA, the qr I had wasn’t working at self checkout, called the guy over and he just pulled out a folder with about 8 different qr code and this was one of them, had to show my family card then scanned and left. I used this code about 6 times last qtr both online and in person and were all just a jpg.

  • Silmilar to what I got when first registered Ikea account

  • Code not working anymore

  • Can you use this more than once in store on separate occasions?

    • Not on the same account I don't think.

    • Nope. But can do online, last time I checked. There is a $5 click and collect fee though

      • $5 would ruin your margins, and also have to spend $50 again. Easier driving there but personally would cost at least $5 or $10 in fuel plus your time, so never bother with these.. would be walking around looking for $50 of crap and a pain to get out of the place lol.

      • +1

        And $5 for petrol

    • yes you can, both online and instore.
      refer to my comment here

    • I used it 6 times last qtr

      • Just checking did you use it online or in-store? Or both working?

  • Thanks for that. Spent $900 there last quarter on a couch, scanned ikea family but never got the reward. Maybe it was because I used gift cards?

  • Well timed. Mrs needed a trolley from IKEA today.

  • +1

Tried the code today and staff asked for email. Refused to give the offer with just the jpg. I was signed in. Ymmv

    • Yeah, when we checked out, I specifically went towards a self service check out. Half way through the queue, a lady came and tasked us to go to another counter that only had one person in the queue. Wifey, not knowing what I was up to, started walking there so I had to follow. Luckily, the teenager at the counter didn't care to check this stuff… scanned my membership and scanned the $10 credit without thinking twice.

      • Yeh I did self service check out but when I scanned the code. The screen said I had to wait for a staff. Unless someone can forward their email to me. It'll be down to luck.

        • I see. I will consider myself lucky that I got sent to a new queue with a carefree staff member. Had I remained in self service, I may have come across the same result as you.

        • Yes that always happens.
Good idea they're targeting it as people rort the system and claim too many times.

Too much effort and out of the way anyway that place

  • +3

Managed to use this 3 times in one trip (broke up our $240 approx purchase into 4 transactions with three being over $50 each). Scanned each time at self service and attendant had to just click OK.

    Was Marsden Park IKEA. YMMV

    • +1

So the discount code is working more than one time? That's great

  • +2

Perth IKEA, went to self serve checkout and when I scanned the $10 code the attendany asked me for original email, said it was in their T&C that they cant accept screenshots.

    • hm, i used screenshot in the food section without any issues

  • +1

Can you stack this with the $10 birthday voucher?

    • No, only one voucher at once.

  • +1

Confirmed working today, I wasn't asked to show the original email.

  • Damn went to IKEA after seeing this offer. Forgot to scan it at checkout! 😩

    • Excitement overload? Lol

  • I wouldn't order for delivery from IKEA ever again. It takes them 6 weeks to deliver my stuffs to me, despite saying the items are available when I order them online. It would be faster if I order them from China.

  • +1

used it with the 50 off 500 deal… slightly feeling better now

  • Can you stack it with the $10 welcome code?

    • Don't think so. You can maybe try online but fairly sure they'll cancel out

  • Can I use this code more than once?
I want to buy the same item x2 each cost $129 approx each with me going to store and grabbing myself will get it for $119
If say I did self checkout or other checkouts and scanned my email with code once I do this can it be used again?
Obviously if you met the same girl a checkout or guy and you scanned your code or they asked to see the email which I have they probably not give you it twice.
But if I went with one person then come back into store and used another person will it work twice.
I had planned to do click and collect but you pay $5 extra so not much saving.

As the store is about 50km away I did hope to grab the two items at once, I do have a birthday come up and I believe or maybe stopped it they give you a code on your birthday is there normal a use by date after receiving it as I work away.

I could always go back and use the bday thing I’d still a thing but mean another trip there.

Ideally getting the two items on one trip is my goal but both with the $10 off what do you recommend.

    • I'm pretty sure I've read some people split their cart at self checkout and checkout chicks just approved multiple times in a row.
I wish I had tried last month, but I didn't receive the email and didn't dare trying. Got to be in it to win it.

    • just create a second throwaway account, you'll need to keep the throaway email handy though.

if someone ask a question tell it's your friend account and you buy the second item for him

      • Throwaway email as in what? And if they ask to see the email with the $10 off it’s in my orginal email not the throwaway one

        • if you create a new account, you'll get a $10 bonus welcome as well,
you can download app like temp-email so you can access your second email if they ask.

You might need a second phone number for verification, I'm not sure if you can use the same phone number.

  • So if I buy what I’m after say self checkout with my offical email and $10 quarter code go put it in car then go back grab another and as I signed up to another account same details but different email and use my welcome $10 at a proper checkout would this work?

  • I still have "FÖRNUFTIG" the air purifier in my list. Has anyone used this before? Not quite sure is it good one

  • Used this code like 5 times in the last two days, many thanks 👍

    • Does it work multiple times on the same account?

      • +1

Yeah no issues. I've used it a couple more times since that comment… Just keep making trips to the car and back when I visit haha, giving the lift a workout! Since I've heard staff might call you out on it I'll generally try and go through a different checkout lane each time I go through.

        • Thanks for letting me know. Any ideas if it keeps working online? Hahaha

  • Thanks
