  • I’ve actually just come looking for a new laptop to replace one of these which suffers from a common problem where these laptops just crash when you move them…. I’d buy one but I can’t do it

    • I’m sure I bought this laptop on a previous deal during Covid lockdown.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/557708
Was a bargain at the time. Not so sure now

      • Just keep in mind the price looks amazing compared to that previous post how ever you are comparing a refurb to a new product

    • My partner has this exact laptop but non-touch and it has been reliable aside from the touchpad which stopped working 2-3 years ago. Replacement touchpads were too expensive when we looked and hard to source so she's just been using a portable mouse since then.

  • how do these keyboards compare to the other thinkpad models?

review here for similar model: https://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/lenovo-thinkpad-l3…

    • +2

That’s the model I have. Mine might be older than this but the keyboard is excellent.
At $300 this is a good deal but I bought mine for $800 around three years ago and that was a good deal and now it’s very unstable. I’d be cautious if you need a reliable laptop

    • +1

Keyboard is excellent. I love the keyboard on my X13 but my partner has one of these and the keyboard is even better. Using it was what made me want to buy a Thinkpad myself.

  • Hi op what’s the maximum Ram this model can support?

    • +1

It has two slots and supports 32gb

    • +1

I've put 48gb in mine so I'd say it would even go up to 64.

  • +1

What would be the battery maximum percentage once fully charged?

    • This, what is the battery capacity health?

    • +1

      100%

    • The battery capacity health is 70% and above when full charge.

  • What am I missing? This actually looks like a good deal.
    Also 4c/8t

    • +1

      reliability issues mentioned above.

  • If it was a Dell version at this price would be good

  • MSI GL leopard a good.price? I think it was $750 with discounts.

    • 300 nits 45% Adobe RGP and 60% SRGB so display not as good as Acer and Dell equivalents. 90 to 110 fps in reality. 2W speakers are weak so need headset. Keyboard average feel, cramped and locked to red. Battery down 1% per min without gaming. This is a basic unit. From https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_H0SFkh4Yg

    • Now is $700($682.5) with discount.

  • Placed an order and hope I have the luck to avoid reliable issues.

  • Bought one from this link.
    Just arrived.
    Screen won't turn on 😐😐

    • hmmm that's concerning :(
Mine should arrive today or Monday. Will let you know if I have any problems too.

      • @SueyJitSu please do.
        I'll unfortunately be returning mine.

        • Mine arrived today. Works as expected. Hope you got your issue sorted.

    • We are really sorry to hear that.
We can see that the power button light is still on, please press the power button for 10 seconds to force shut down the laptop, then power it on again.
      Thank you

      • Hi Rep,
Got mine and used for a few days now. I just realized there is no fingerprint reader on it as the ebay item page says. Are they all without fingerprint reader or some do get it?
Otherwise it is a nice little machine, thank you.

        • Hi Zeroxp,

Glad to hear the feedback from you.

They all come without fingerprint. The description is from Lenovo website for this model. It should be an optional choice, not all of them have it.

          Thank you

  • Is the 8GB ram upgrade refurb or new?

Any reputable sites to buy a battery when it shits itself?

    • The 16gb ram comes with the laptop, they are original ram.

There are other sellers sale Lenovo L380 battery on eBay, price is around $60-$70 for the original.

      Thank you

  • Damn didn’t know the coupons expired last night
