Outstanding price for the Professional edition, A2A hasnt included this model in any of their holiday sales. I believe it's a relatively unknown seller, I've confirmed this isn't a pricing error and they are brand new. I've ordered a pair and they are on the way! I'll update once I receive them.

But whether if it's better is debatable, but definitely different.
I'd still say the og at 999 is a better buy.
Can't argue with you there, the sound/pad difference is subjective. The decision for me was I'm getting the updated model for the cost of new earpads on-top of the original.

totally dig the colour of the mg version vs the original clears however not sure extra $360 is worth it. however i don't think the clear mg gets discounted much so may be a good deal for some.
I actually wanted the bronze/gold Premium colourway but getting these for almost half the cost and with the extra pads is just too good a deal.
Would there be an upgrade if I sold HD800 and bought these? I promised myself I'd never by Focal, their support sucks to be honest.
Very different sounding headphones, The clear would defintely complement the HD800. Personally if you want an upgrade from the HD800 I would be looking at a Hifiman Arya.
This is great quality. I can hear the hidden 48khz harmonies on 32bit 96Khz sources.
Thinking of getting these for the Home Studio but it seems the website doesn't take VISA.
Got tired of waiting for Customer Support and just used PAYPAL These should keep me & the neighbors very happy. Good Price considering they were selling for $6300 in March last year on Amazon…damn that COVID tax was (still is to some degree) brutal lol…
Mine arrived today…and they are gorgeous. Just running them straight off the Laptop with Amazon Ultra Music as all my studio stuff is packed away while i renovate. They are singing out for more power but still just a gorgeous sound and super comfy barely notice them. You get what you pay for with these and they scream quality. So happy with this bargain :)
I'm having a hard time putting them down! Just the perfect amount of detail and warmth, I think this is a perfect price for them. If I were to pay more i'd defintely choose the Gold model, Much more premium in the hands.
The non-professional version is only 999 at a2a right now, which I think is a way better price
