Was looking at these or the Cole & Mason.

The Oxo ones have been around $70 for a while, so this looks good to me. I like the ceramic grinders instead of the plastic material in the cheapie grinders we have now.

The selling points:
- Grinding mechanism on top of Grinder to ensure clean countertops; Stainless steel accents for kitchen-to-table appeal
- Rotate tabs to easily adjust Grinder settings from fine to coarse; Grinders are filled with sea salt and black peppercorns
- Non-corrosive ceramic grinders won’t absorb flavors or odors

(Thanks to the Camels for this)

I’ve got these ones, can’t fault them.

Is it really worth buying these when you can buy cheap grinders filled with salt/pepper for a few dollars? I've refilled many of those and they are still going fine after a few refills.

    • The cheap grinders have plastic burrs and aren't adjustable. I personally don't fancy plastic shavings in my foods but ymmv…

Having made this comment, I don't like these grinders as they don't have lids. You can get ceramic grinders with lids on amazon for around $15.

      • Yup and you can also grind down to fine or up to coarse.

You have plastic in your body just from existing, it's in all over the place in the environment - air, water, dirt. Hell, they've detected microplastics in fetuses.

But uhh yeah, you know, ceramic grinders tend to last longer and grind better so it's still worth it.

        • Weird take on data. Your plastic intake is cumulative. Sure there's a lot of it around and some parents may not be as cautious but you add more and there'll be more in you. If you're ok with added plastic then all's fine…

      • link to ceramic grinders please?

Thanks, they're usually more expensive for one. I already have the salt grinder but been waiting for a deal on the pepper. I guess I now have a spare salt grinder.

Use the spare one for a one shot coffee grind?

  • got them from last deal. i think they are pretty good for being at the table top, but for kitchen i think the output of the salt isnt big enough.

I have these due to all the deals, they’re fine. But ask yourself do you really need another one if you have a perfectly working salt and pepper grinder already?

  • Thanks op. Been waiting for this to drop for a few months now..

Back to $79.50 by the looks :'(

  • Expired? Price changed

  • $79.50?

  • Peters Of Kensington had an Oxo sale on they are are OOS for this, so I assume Amazon has returned (higher than) normal prices. It was $70 yesterday.

  • $34.27 is OOS

Wow gotta be fast on these things. I wanted one :(

  • Thx time for an upgrade from plastic woolies ones that keep becoming dull

  • Not Ozbargain friendly, but I strongly recommend the Pepper Cannon

    • Four hundred and twenty dollars? It's a grinder? It grinds pepper? It doesn't have a TV in it or something?

  • I bought a set of fletchers mill grinders as I was sick of using the mortar and pestle to pre crack peppercorns for all the grinders we had previously

  • Mine arrived. Works well
