    I find them to be a bit too flimsy if I'm trying to paddle quickly.

      I have this exact paddle, as it came with an Intex kayak I purchased recently, and it's quite sturdy (no flex at all while paddling).

        Same place I got mine from. It's alright if you are going slow or not paddling very hard. It's useless if you are really going for it or try to slow yourself/turn sharply at speed.

    These are terrible. I have owned them in the past and they are really flimsy and flexy.

    Unless space is really at a premium get a decent non collapsible paddle

    This is super handy, me and some friends got the $20 kmart rafts and all the paddles broke. Boats still work fine but this will give them a couple more uses.

    I once got caught in a bit of a current with one of these on one of the kayaks they come with. While there is no frigging way I would willingly chose these again, they actually survived. I really like the shape of the paddle too. Very nice. Even considered sourcing a more solid one piece of aluminum to put them into.
    I have both the kinds decathlon sell the aluminum two piece and the carbon fiber two piece and would recommend those on anything but calm and predictable conditions :D

        Ugh. Rambling is hard.
        I wouldn't recommend the intex paddles on anything other than calm and predictable conditions.

    Although they call them "spoon shaped" they're not what would usually be called spoon blades, these are much flatter. At that price, I've bought 4 of them. Even if they're crappy, they're handy backups for multi-day kayak trips on gentler rivers.
