Yes she isn't wearing one of the hats and yes she caught me taking a picture 😅

    • +1

Did you say for OzBargainz? Or for Honor!

    • +12

She looks kinda cute. Can I say that still these days?

      • +13

        Yes completely acceptable.

        • +6

Seems we're both being negged. 2023 is the year of no compliments it seems.

          Hey I love your hat

"How dare you give me a compliment that's so offensive" - triggered woke OzBargainer

          • -1

@Clear: Control language = Control minds

        that's cReEpY

Your monitor settings must be out.

Gotta love how you peeps here are "concerned" about what's appropriate and what's not, and yet, no matter what's cooking in your bubbles, if a person wants or needs attention, that's good on you, adventurous mates, but otherwise you're ending up being creeps.

And there's nothing you can do about it, which potentially hurts a lot.

        • -1

You just made yourself look like a creep sorry.

          • @Clear: Not really, I just have people like you in my mind, commenting publicly on somebody's looks (or encouraging it), vs insecure people reading this and thinking whether they might be a subject to the same creepy judgement from priviliged randoms.

Perhaps it's time to rethink and leave your cozy shithole of acquiescence and other passive but hurtful habits.

            • +1

@pizzaguy: cunningdrew said he think she's cute. How is that wrong to say? Seriously? Compliments aren't okay anymore?

You're going to have to justify how it's wrong. Nothing creepy has happened here. It sounds like you're projecting your own insecurities onto others.

              • @Clear: If my sort of example didn't speak to your empathy, please see here.

Also, I have no insecurities about myself, but I can see and hear my friends, family and coworkers and just feel the awkwardness around stances like yours.

                • +1

@pizzaguy: So you're deciding someone else's feelings? You don't have that right. That's even worse.

I'm glad your link says OPINION in capitals. It doesn't make you right and it doesn't make me right. That's the joy of an opinion.

I think it's best if we just agree to disagree.

                  • -1

                    @Clear:

I'm glad your link says OPINION in capitals.

It's a google search results page, it has a tonne of opinions and whatever's there. There's no law that forbids you from talking about other people, nor there's one forbidding you from farting in a lift. What kind of argument is that? Who do you need to point it out? Read what women post among those links, read what some men reply.

You'll be defending such behaviour until you realise one day your daughter is anxious about her shape, because her friends are being called cute/sexy and she's not.

                    • -1

I knew it was about something completely different to what's happened here.

                      • -2

                        @Clear: I didn't realise I was talking to a qualified psychologist.

All I could see was ridiculing.

                        I'm cured by well-formed men.

WTH do you need it to be about to have some empathy?

                        • @pizzaguy: I may not be a qualified psychologist but you think you have the right to decide other people's feelings. So the lady in the pic was offended by being called cute on the internet. Do you know her?

                          • -1

@Clear: You are going to deliberately miss the point until one of us is tired.

I'll save some energy for work, as I'm going to work now.

                            • -1

@pizzaguy: Well that's what this is about. cunningdrew called her cute and you took offence on her behalf without even having met her.

                              • -2

@Clear: Yes, I was against assuming that people, esp. non-public, at work giving away bucket hats, are ok being judged by random people.

And that assumption was made by cunningdrew and others followed with comments ridiculing any potential doubts whether it's ok or not.

Enjoy your day, I believe you're all cute, pretty, stunning IRL.

                                • -1

                                  @pizzaguy:

Welp you've just done the exact thing you've argued is completely wrong. Well played troll well played.

    • +2

It was as if she was actually posing for the picture

      • +1

She didn't mind when I told her it was going on social media. Infact she encouraged it. I was too camera shy to do a selfie with some hats.

These feelings police who think they can decide how others feel wouldn't like that.

  • +21

Nah, screw SAP and their crappy system. Has caused me untold dozens of hours of downtime at work because of instability and dropouts.

    • +3

Sounds like you need one for a bonfire 😝

    • +21

      Did they SAP your time?

    • +2

      downtime at work

Isn’t that a good thing? Knock off early and go to the pub.

    • +2

      Or a better SAP developer!

    • +1

On-premise or cloud? If it is on-premise, most probably it is your infra/networking team.

    • But free hat!

I don’t know why these companies give out free stuff, there was a huge pile of Workday mugs in an office I worked in and if you used one people gave you dirty looks, that implementation went horribly.

  • +4

SAP: "Do you want a free hat?"

ME: "Free hat, oh bucket, why not?"

    • +2

Now you can look extra cool on the Lime scooters

  • +61

They are free now but you'd have to pay a lot for its maintainence.

    • +20

You can also adjust the size, but need to hire a consultant at $300 per hour.

      • adjust size

        wow…elastic web

    • +1

      Dont forget about licensing fees..

  • +2

That's a nice hat, too far though.

Reminds me of good old ABAP days.

    • Old? Yes. Good? No.

      • Certainly was a learning curve…those table names.

    • Lol i am glad ive left that behind.

  • +15

I work for one of their competitors, reckon my boss will love me wearing this.

    • +2

I hope it's Salesforce. That would get a good laugh.

  • +6

They should wrap them in tin foil and pass them to the "freedom" protestors who molest our fair city every weekend.

  • +1

At least she got the free advertising at OZbargain.

  • +1

Had me excited for a bit there. I thought it was a free bucket and a hat.

    • +6

If it was a SAP bucket it would have a hole in it. You'd have pay a shitload for a consultant to come fix it.

      • +3

Not just holes but also the bucket isn’t design properly so you have to pay consultant to configure it before you can even use it. Lol!!!

        • +3

And when you finally get to use the bucket it just breaks. The handle snaps clean off and it shatters.

          • +2

@Clear: LOL!!! Yup, ongoing investment… (or ransom…) hehehehe

          • +1

            @Clear: Sounds like a “feature”

  • +11

Dammit… I just bought a new Microsoft Dynamics hat !!!

    • +1

get a refund or check if trade-in possible with your new SAP hat?

      • +8

I will consult first with the Oracle.

        • +1

you have to be the one

    • get workday hat

    • +1

I just bought a new Microsoft Dynamics hat

Where did you bing it to?

    • +4

You can get that migrated to the SAP bucket hat. Figure two years and around twenty million dollars.

      • +2

Figure two years and around twenty million dollars.

Will end up taking three years and thirty million dollars with half the functionality…

        • +2

Try outsourcing to India, it will only cost 15million for the migration. They will get confused give you a pair of 10-year-old unwashed dirty jocks to wear on your head, whilst blaming you for not being clear about your hat migration requirements. But you will have saved money.

    • Have you tried turning it off and on again?

  • Bugger, hopefully they’re still there tomorrow

    • +6

      hopefully they’re still there tomorrow

      On Invasion Day?

  • +1

The people at flinders st are really in need of a new CRM system

    • +7

Mate SAP is a LOT more than a CRM system.. it’s an ERP system

  • +9

what a cool n modern looking hat… just like SAP systems.

    • Exactly what I was thinking 😂😂

    • +5

It's made from iron and hessian and attaches to your head with brass nails.

      • +2

        Give that man a baby!

  • Beam me one to rural SA!!!

  • +3

The vintage style of these matches the SAP UI.

  • Black was a bad choice.

  • +3

I just feel for the poor girl who has to deal with all the numpties that hang around Flinders Street steps. How many methheads are going now have a SAP hat. No wonder she's giving them away as quickly as she can.

  • +1

an old dev friend told me SAP stands for Sh*t and Poo

    • +1

      That's what everyone does

    • +2

Is your old dev friend actually a child?

      • A Dev in "bbcode". About the skill level required at SAP.

  • Great hat to pick up girls in Byron Bay.

  • Thanks, got 4

  • Bucket hats are great for protection from the sun, when combined with an umbrella like that. Otherwise, useless.

  • They are not there anymore.. if anyone collected extra and in willing to spare one, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
