Though worth pointing out no display over USB-C, so don't bother using with a dock.

      • unless you use a displaylink dock like the Dell D6000

It says "Full-function USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports support power delivery, display output to 4K screens, and fast data transfer."

How to determine if a USB-C can or cannot be used as a dock?

        • Turns out I'm wrong and this has changed in the Ideapad Flex models - maybe just the 16 - but this does support Displayport over USB-C.

          • @raisinberry777: my 14" flex doesnt support display over USB-C unless using displaylink dock so i think you are right.
            its changed for the 16"

Note that 5700u is actually a zen2 chip made in 7nm just like 5500u, that performance loss to a 5800u is sizable, and even with 2 extra cores you will see worse performance in most workloads compared to 5600u and inversely, not much of a gain compared to 5500u rigs. This deal is about 30$ cheaper than the previous several ones on this machine, but you got a massively worse screen to boot. Likely to see further price dips as zen 4 machine drops later in Q1.

  • About $175 cashback from cashrewards too?

  • Bought this on sale with Amazon, definitely a good laptop. The base network card that came with mine wasn't great, but I've upgraded to an AX210 which works without issues. My only other gripe is the plastic body which is very bendy and feels cheap compared to my last laptop, an Asus S200E.
