Hey cool people,

I’ve been buying these for years, and their new ‘normal’ price has become $30.

I’ve had them in my Amazon watchlist for ages, and they have finally dropped into the lower 20’s.

Remember when the S&S on these was just under $12 !!

Limit of 2 per person

The 3 ply ones have 110 in a pack, but the 2 ply ones have 250. In case anyone wants to know.

    • +1

      Good point mate

    • +1

Oh…I did not notice that thanks. So is it better to use 2 pieces of 2 ply instead of 1 piece of 3 ply….

      • For me? Yes.

      • i always use 2 sheets so muscle memory will just make me use 2 sheets of 3 ply too… better just getting 2 ply.

Same price for the Aloe as well : Quilton 3 Ply Aloe Vera Facial tissues, (12 boxes of 110 tissues)

    • +1

They are cheaper at Big W

      • but bigW is only 75 sheets not 110.

        • Still works out cheaper if you check cost per sheet

      • Big W ones are poorer in quality, not sure if it's just my bad luck but I bought a few times and they were always disappointing so I went back to these ones

  • Isn't this around $19 at Costco

      • Wow price is up up, purchased 2 boxes around 2 months ago around $19 when Amazon increased their price.

        • +1

Yeah, I've been watching these like a hawk since everyone jacked them up

      • +4

Costco online price includes shipping cost, bought 2 boxes couple days ago from local Costco shop and was $18.99/box.

    • +1

      The Kirkland 12 box / 3-ply / 110 tissues version is $18.99 at Costco.

    • The aloe ones are $3.50 for 3 boxes of 75 tissues each. Works out cheaper then Amazon.

  • +3

Had never bought these for <$12 but remember the days of half price at Woolies for $1.25….

I'm hoping there's a downward trend in pricing as I noticed the Quilton TP @ Amazon has reduced a little too.

    • Yeah, the good 'ol days.

I don't think we'll see them again any time soon

  • +1

Thanks OP, I was buying at $12 and can’t believe I’m still buying at $21

    • I hear you mate !

It’s hard to buy at this price knowing what we used to get them for

  • is the 2ply 250 on sale??

    • nah, still $32.25 which 7% off from $34

  • Prices dropped on Amazon yesterday - I saw it last night. Thanks for posting :)

  • Thanks I paid $30 back in December have not seen it went down for long time at least 1/2 year

    • +1

      You're welcome mate

      Yeah, it's been a while

    • +1

I did the same, felt dirty paying $30

      • -1

Yeah that's right but I needed the tissues no choice

  • +1

I used to buy this for a dollar each box. I don’t buy these for that price. That’s ridiculous. If the fanboys buy it for this price it will never get down!

    • alternative?

      • Buy the 3 ply for 48 cents a sheet on S&S. Quilton 3 Ply Toilet Tissue (180 Sheets per Roll, 11x10cm), Pack of 45 (9 Pack x 5 = 45) https://amzn.asia/d/6Wl0nHA

        • +2

I started using toilet paper for everything a year ago due to facial tissue consistent out of stock at that time. Now I feel I don’t need to buy any overpriced tissue specifically for FACE anymore.
Just put the toilet roll in a nice box from eBay for a few bucks, then put it on your dining table.
The only downside is your friends showing WTF face every time they come over.

@NoBargainNoLife: we Asian have been doing that for ages :)

            • +1

@legelas: Should have learnt that earlier!

            • @legelas: but then using tissues as serviettes :)

              • @bamzero: Dont get me wrong. We still buy tissue box and paper towel when needed. We just try to use toilet tissue as much as we can. Of coure we dont really want to scare our visitors away LOL

      • Paper bark

  • +2

    where's the deal?

    • It’s a crap deal!

  • I always question how many ply is the right amount of ply

  • +1

Isn’t this $1.40 at Woolies right now.

E: is for 95 sheet but better value

    • Not sure, but even without a special I think you are better off buying Kleenex Everyday 2 ply from Woolworths which have a normal price of $2.20 (but are 200 sheets per pack). By comparison these Quilton ones are nearly $2 a pack for 3 ply/110 sheets.

Since they massively increased the price of the Quilton ones they are poor value, and at best average value now with this special.

      • The thing is, it’s still worse than the regular price at woolworths. Which is $19.45 for the equivalent number of sheets, and thus shouldn’t be a deal.

I have no idea whether the hypoallergenic is just marketing but it is a spot of difference.

        • -1

True not really a bargain.. It may be a good deal for those who solely buy tissues from Amazon.

  • +10

The amount of analysis that goes into buying tissue is what really amazes me here

  • +2

They should drop in price on Singles day.

    • +1

      Toilet paper works too ;)

  • Not the lowest it's been, but everything's gone up in price so not a bad deal. Though, I must admit that these tissues have changed in feel. They used to feel softer. Now they feel kind of rough :(

  • Thanks OP

  • +1

$1.40/95pk at Woolies every day. Preferred tissue really.

    • +2

I was just looking at this! And I have no idea why someone would neg you.

Love to see if my math is wrong

12 boxes, 110 sheets per box

      $21.38/12 = $1.78

      $1.78/110x100 = $1.61

Versus the 95 pack running at $1.47 per 100 sheets. When compared on that basis, this is not a deal. And, it's the same tissue!

      • You are completely right. I found myself imagining going to Woolies for 12 boxes but my hand clicked on the Amazon purchase anyway. Am I a bad person? I'm going to pretend the petrol makes up the difference…

      • -1

        Each to their own.

I think you also need to take into account that driving to and from Woolies will cost me petrol, and then juggling 12 or 24 boxes of singular tissue boxes costs me an added pain in the bum.

Not to mention lining up in the long queue because I have more than 10 items.

Cheers for your two cents though

        👍👍

  • +1

My dog got into my stash of these tissues when I stored them in my pantry and there was tissue paper everywhere in my house.

    10 boxes worth of tissues.

    Everywhere.

    • +1

      everything everywhere all at once?

    • It must have been an awesome sight

  • +1

ohh, it seems pure rip off - $11 -> $21. I wish my salary was increased by this rate!

  • -1

Aren't tissues like $1/box at Aldi?

  • Cheaper at Woolworths.

1.47c per tissue (1.33c with Everyday Extra) vs 1.80c per tissue (1.62c with S&S)

Also dont need to buy in bulk, and arguably smaller boxes are better.

Just get it with your grocery shop, nullifying any convenience factor amazon may have.

    • Just ordered from Woolies.. they limit 2 boxes per oder per shop..

      • In store the other week I was able to get 5 with no issue.

I just ordered online as well and saw it said there is a limit of 2 but it let me add more, I went with 6, not sure if they'll change it before delivery but its weird they let you add more if the limit is 2.

        • -1

Woolies won’t give me more than two boxes..

Gonna get my steps up by going to six stores to get back at them !

          👍👍

          • -1

@Shaquille Oatmeal: Probably some stores with low stock still, no issue in store or delivery getting more.

        • -1

Can confirm no issue getting 6 boxes in my delivery

  • Costco has these exact ones for $18.99
