  • Sonos or Bose?

  • Can these pair with sub?

    • -2

Sonos systems are able to pair with any other sonos device.

    • +3

Not a sub by itself - but an existing system with a sub, yes

        https://www.soundguys.com/sonos-move-review-31346/

If you already have a sub and want to connect it with the Sonos Move you’re out of luck. The Sonos Move can not be paired with a subwoofer by itself. That said, if you already have a Sonos 5.1 setup you can group it with that system and take advantage of the existing subwoofer.

Although a Reddit thread mentions this:

To enhance your lower ranges with a sub, add another room/group with a sub paired to you Move group when playing.

This site (https://www.imore.com/does-sonos-move-work-other-sonos-speak…) seems to think it works …

So…it MAY work, but I need to create a group manually, and that group may or may not need to have 4 other speakers outside the sub to work? Bloody confusing…

I would of bought if only it stacked with promotion; Spend $500 Get $50 Off

  • This is a portable speaker and it has decent bass, I have not paired with a sub at home as I got a pair of sonos 5 pair to the sub already for music

You can operates as part of sonos system or switch to bluetooth when you taken out of the sonos wifi mesh
Had it for a few years not a bad speaker

This is more of speaker where you can to your backyard pool or garden or to a public park

    • If you create a group just with the sub + move, will it work?

      • I haven't checked lately but previously a sub can only be pair with specific speakers, if you want to pair with another speaker you have to break that pair and pair it up with the new speaker

my setup was set in stone some years ago and it just works year in year out no need for me to messed around with it just like Apple iPhone

    Good deal.

Worth noting, however, that it is battery powered and is only rated for about 3 years of regular use before the battery will need to be replaced. Only get this if you need the portability, otherwise get the Sonos One.

Also, decent price on the Roam ($229) at the moment with free shipping direct https://www.sonos.com/en-au/shop/roam or from JB where the coupon code should presumably also work and bring the price down further.

I have one and it’s a bit of an awkward combination of the five and roam. It’s too big and heavy to be a true ‘portable’ that you chuck in a backpack for the beach or the park, and you lose a lot of the upsides you are paying a premium for when you are away from wifi. You get great sound, but it’s not as good as a five and you have the added battery issues.

Mine is perfect to take out to the pool or when I’m working outside where I don’t have speakers (yet), so it’s been a good purchase. Just worth having a think about what you need and whether it fits your system before throwing down five hundred bucks.
