The Corsair deal deal sold out in my area so I went searching, came across this on Amazon. Not historical low Blue only was $149 here, but seems to be new low for the Black and Lilac, barring flash deals

Down from $300 (yeah right) - Either way I'm pulling the trigger

Always tempted to get one to match my logitech keyboard and mouse but then i realize when the thing is on my head, i can't see the RGB effects so i'm paying for someone else's benefit and i doubt my wife enjoys seeing all the rainbow vomit going on.

    • Do they have a version without the RGB?

      • yup Logitech G535

    • The RGB is good at least for flashing red when the battery is low, or green to get confirmation it's charging.

If you dont mind Harris Technology Australia (they get bad reviews sometimes on Amazon) they have the blue for $149 + free delivery + there is a coupon showing for $10 off on Ebay right now.

  • It's been as low as $120 C&C at JB HiFi back in 2021 according to post history, although that was with a code.

While I don't expect the price to be that low from Amazon AU because they need to consider delivery costs, they can certainly drop the price further IMO if you aren't in any rush.

  • got the purple pair for $150 from jb a couple years ago. pretty good headset although if you're playing on a console then there's no way to turn the lights off and they constantly change colour, which can be distracting at night especially if you wear glasses.
with my pair the volume knob slider thing has developed a problem where if i try to turn the volume down, it will sometimes go up instead, and i have to try a couple times to turn it down before it actually does. not sure if that's a common issue or i just had bad luck

    • "although if you're playing on a console then there's no way to turn the lights off and they constantly change colour,"

Did you try short pressing a few of the buttons?

I have a set of Creative bluetooth headphones which have the same RGB (didn't realise it when buying). I just short press the power button like normal button press after turning them on and the RGB turns off.
I do agree it is annoying though. The battery life of my Creative already isn't great at 10 hours, and it always defaults to RGB on which drains the battery even quicker if I forget to turn it off when I put them on.

      • yeah these headphones don't have that option unfortunately. I've looked online at forums, and others with these headphones are in the same predicament. the lights can only be turned off using logitech g hub on pc, and they don't have on board memory to keep the lights off

it doesn't bother me, but thought I'd let others looking to get these know

I have a logitech heavy collection of wireless desktop peripherals and was excited about this headset.
Then I saw the reviews and decided not to get one.
After a heck of a lot of research, I realised that tech reviewers are not audiophiles and only review popular brands for the most part.
So eventually I decided upon an EPOS Hybrid Pro.
    Why?
it has surround sound, active noice cancelling, can simulatenously mix the sound from PC and bluetooth device! I watch youtube between battlefield 2042 missions, it stays on while fast charging via usb-c, has a detachable headset mic that turns off if moved to upright position, is comfortable, has a super stable wireless connection, stays on when I walk across the room. The logitech has a fraction of these features.
    I hope that helps!

    • Damn guess I'll stick with my A40's. I too wanted to get them to match my Logitech peripherals.

They're not amazing, but for $178 they're not bad, I got them for that price too, wouldn't pay higher.

They have a nice sound profile that is good for vocals and mid range clarity, however they have a few db bump around the 3k range I think and drop off a fair bit towards the top, so if you flatten that down and bring up the top end its a flatter sound, you can find a few response charts online and go off that using the G hub eq.

I've had other cheaper Logitech wired headsets like the G231 with much beefier low frequency response, however these G733 are probably much more accurate they can be a little lacklustre at first, if you're used to feeling the deep low throbs of near by vehicle's or explosions in games like battlefield or cod or any other game with lots of low end, its still represented but its not as captivating, overall they sound a lot more accurate and I have grown to only use these.

You can try adjusting the eq but it can go into distortion If you over do it, there are a lot of eq profiles made by G hub users but I found them to mostly be useless or cause distortion easily, unless you're just trying to max out a particular footstep sound to have an advantage in cs go or something.

I found I liked using these more in the end though, they're very comfortable, I set the side button to macro between stock and my slightly adjusted eq.

The dac I think is 16bit and there is a white noise hissing sound during low notes, say if you're watching a movie with a lot of lfe without anything else, its soft but its noticeable to me.

The rgb actually makes a weird high frequency white noise as well and you can hear them transitioning colours like some line noise chatter, if you have it up quite loud and then it goes quiet during a map loading or something, its very faint, but its there, if you turn the lights off it goes away. I have read about other people experiencing this as well, but its not a major.

The mic is ok but it sounds very thin and goes into distortion quite easily, but it sounds more like an effect. I only use it for room pass through when I have people over as I use a blue snowball for anything else.

I got white to match my mouse and keyboard and thought I'd give wireless a go, I liked the design as well, I would buy again, probably for the $150 I saw not too long ago though.

  • Words of warning.

    I'm not hear to neg or up tick the deal, but warn of the diminishing quality of the logitech products i have used. But I have used logitech for 2 decades have had the following products and the accompanying faults Some have been replaced through warranty claims but are still not of a standard i would expect if they are only lasting 2 years;

mx518 mouse - great mouse, can't fault it.
An old logitech wireless headset (circa 2010 maybe) - that was good cant fault it.
G512 keyboard - non coloured key one. Key lights stopped working and now random keys have stopped working. Submitted warranty claim sold new keyboard and started using a typing keyboard.
G933 wireless headset. Within 2 years of use fabric started peeling and volume wheel started making one speaker cut out.
G733 wireless headset. Less than 2 years old and still using but the head band is loose and does not show charging past 50 odd percent.

I'd spend a bit more and get a quality headset.
