Soundbar Suggestion for SONY 65a80k

Hello guys, I am planning to get a Sony A80k 65” for my living room and to compliment the TV I am looking to get a soundbar.

According to rtings.com Samsung HW-Q930B would be a better sound bar. I am bit confused with compatibility and sound quality. Can you guys give me a suggestion on this please? Budget around $1000

      Havent seen any bad reviews with q930b but if u have a better 5.1.2 system suggestions please share.

      Stick to selling cars, something you actually (maybe) know something about. Talking about 5.1.2 but then link to a standard 5.1 with no atmos…

        No shit it's not what I was talking about, I linked to a cheap system because I'm not wasting a good chunk of my time to do someone else's research. They clearly didn't even know what I was referring to, so I showed an example

    Probs just get a Sonos arc with rears and a sub. Sounds pretty good

    Is sound quality (clear and crisp) important? Or complete system like 5.1 surround or Dolby Atmos surround more important?
    Or the best of both which would push the budget.

      I would prefer dolby atmos and budget is bit issue as i am exhausted from the tv

        For affordable Dolby Atmos 🙃

        It’s hard to suggest not knowing your budget. Perhaps you first get only the front speaker (wired) top end Klipsch or mid-range Yamaha or soundbar Bose 900 or Sonos Arc. Add on the sub and surround later on, it’s no hurry. Build on slowly, and you’ll appreciate the quality 😂

          Mate the reason i was looking into 930b was the price .. $788. I am looking to get something around $1000. Probably i can manage a bose 900. But to get the bose setup it would cross the range. What u say?

            @Fuzzy69: Get Bose 900 via Cashrewards app (4.5% cashback) from Myer $1119.96, after cashback is $1058.36. Get sub next year, get surround folllowing year.

            I have Sonos system (not bad), Yamaha 5.1 (pretty good), and naim (awesome)
            I’ve listen to Bose 900, I think it’s better than Sonos 🙊 (Sonos fans gonna hate me)

        Nope, haven't figured out how to get a bargain HT-A9 and I think they've sold too few to have any pop up on the secondhand market. There was a factory refurb available at some point in the UK, an indication of the markdown and perhaps some future hope for a lower price Refurbished: HT-A9

                @Gills: Can't find that, maybe sold already? I upgraded my 3.1 Yamaha/Polk system to 5.2 and think I'd really miss the centre speaker but will certainly audition the HT-A9 at some point.

    I bought one of these for a family member but was so impressed with it I kept it for the bedroom tv.
    For the money this absolutely fits your bill.
