4660

If you need to reload on Amazon gift cards it could be the right time. Keep in mind they don't expire. Seems to be only $50 and $100 denominations.

You can probably stack this with other deals in the earn more section with Westpac.

  • Not for me

    • +4

You need to click "Promos" you can still buy it for 2% as well. It's a bit odd.

  • Available on mine. Sure beats the usual 4% I get from another site.

    • What site you get the regular 4%? May be handy at some point

      • +2

        Its for Amazon flex drivers.

      • +1

HCF Thank You sells Amazon gift cards for a 4.05% discount everyday.

        • 1% CC fee though

          • +5

@TimeOrMoney: The percentage in my comment already accounts for the 1% payment surcharge.

Amazon gift cards are advertised as 5% off on HCF Thank You, but once you factor in the 1% payment surcharge, the discount effectively drops to 4.05%.

            • @WookieMonster: Does HCF have a monthly limit on Amazon gift cards? Is there a fee free payment option like BPay or Debit Card?

              • +4

@rokufan: There is no monthly limit mentioned specifically for Amazon gift cards, which is odd, considering that Coles gift cards have a $250 weekly limit and Woolworths Supermarket gift cards have a $500 weekly limit. I know that the HCF Thank You portal has a blanket $2,500 weekly purchase limit, and HCF Thank You also reserves the right to suspend your account if they think your usage of the portal is not reasonable in their eyes.

There is currently no fee-free payment option, but HCF Thank You is removing the 1% payment surcharge starting 01 March 2023. HCF Thank You is also decreasing all gift card discounts by 1% starting 01 March 2023, which means you will actually end up paying (marginally) more for the same gift card…

                • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks for the clear detail. Looks like only HCF members, who are with one of them i.e. insurance, can have access to the benefits

                • @WookieMonster: Do you know if HCF Thank You accepts Coles Prepaid Mastercards? Also, any idea when the next Coles PMC deal will be? I think I remember you saying possibly in February. Hoping it is this month, running very low again haha.

                  • +3

@MiscOzB: It accepted Coles Mastercard gift cards back in October 2022, but I have no idea if that is still the case now.

My hunch is that the next prepaid gift card deal at Coles could actually be next week.

  • Targetted? I'm not seeing it

    • +1

Search for it was how I got it

    • Click on promos for the 6%. The 2% comes up as default but increases to 6% once you click promo. The 2% is available in all denominations while the promo is only available in $50.

  • Targeted? All gift cards appear as 2% for me.

    • +3

Click promos, just updated the deal. It's a bit odd. You can buy for 2% cashback or 6%.

      • Thanks, now I see it! Well spotted.

        • +6

Just trying to help as I hadn't updated the deal description when they saw it.

  • +1

Need to go to promotion in the gift card section to see it

  • +1

Shows up as well if you search for Amazon in gift cards as a different option for $50-$100 only.

    Thanks op.

  • +1

It's 6% cashback, not 6% off - referring to the title.

    • +2

      Noted and updated.

  • +5

6% is good but my current Amazon GC balance is a bit hefty.

Edit: Also it appears to be ending in ~4 hours and not on the 3rd.

  • +1

Go to giftcard and search "Amazon". You'll then see more than 1 Amazon voucher. For me the 2nd option had 6%, first only 2%.

  • Can you buy multiple $100 ones and get the cashback several times?

    • +1

Max you can buy is 3x $50 and 3x $100. Not too sure if the cap of $300 Amazon gift card per month is still enforced per ShopBack acc

      • Max 3 per transaction.

        • Edit: Max you can buy is 3x $50 and or 3x $100

There’s a cap of 3 Amazon gc per month per SB acc

      • -1

process seems to only allow 2x100 gift cards, not 3?

  • +2

    Max 3 per denomination.

Edit (oh, says that in the title already, my bad).

  • You can buy more than 3, just 3 cards maximum per transaction, but can buy another 3

    • Fine print down the bottom says 3 per calendar month though…

      • 3 per denomination as per fine print

  • Anyone know if you can use existing Cashback to pay for it and still get the 6% Cashback on the full price?

    • +1

      Yes that's fine

    • +1

Yes I did that just now

  • Thanks OP

  • +3

best was the 10% off Amazon cards in Aldi around November last year - good times

    • +20

That was not a deal but a competition

      • Wasted a whole day not finding them in several Aldis

        • the checkout staff at my local had them in a huge bread tray ready to sell!

        • Same to me but in one Aldi. So it was a minus % sadly

      • I got 2k at a non metro Aldi without any effort, cashier was so chill, it wasn’t busy so I even split it and paid the whole lot with discounted coles prepaid credit cards.

  • Does anyone know if I can put my Amazon balance towards preorders?

    • +1

      You can.

      • When i check my preorder payment deets, i don't see amazon gc balance as an option. Are you sure that gc balance can be used to purchase preorders?

        • When is the release date? Have they already charged you?

          • @HomeAlone: Release date is 23rd Feb and i preordered a few months ago

            • +1

@doublehelix95: Are you using the app?

I just had a look and the option to add gift card balance shows up through the website while on the app it's missing.

        • +1

GC balance can absolutely be used for preorders. It will deduct the amount straight away from your balance.

  • Nice one! Also long expiry! 10 years (less a few leap days) to spend it!!

    • +1

No Expiry once you add it to Amazon

      • No expiry even if you don't add to your account.

        • Says 3650 days

          • @Kanjus: If you scroll down to the Fine Print it also says:

            Amazon.com.au Giftcards do not expire

There's also a link to the complete Terms & Conditions. https://www.amazon.com.au/gc-legal

If you scroll down to the bottom you will find:

Your Amazon.com.au Balance and Gift Cards do not expire, including those with a printed expiry period or those previously subject to an expiry period.

  • +1

Will I still get cashback if I pay using my shopback funds?

    • +1

I did and it’s showing up as me getting $3 Cashback for a $50 Gift Card

    • +1

      Yup

  • Can these stack with anything else?

    • Yes lightning deals and other regular promotions. I’d stock up for Easter time deals.

  • Nice find I’ll grab a $50

  • Thanks OP, purchased

  • -3

Cheers OP there's also a bonus $10 cashback challenge for $350+ spend under Earn More for anyone interested.

    • Damn only saw your comment AFTER I purchased already $300 in gift cards :(

      • +8

It's $350 spend at Amazon not on Amazon gift cards.

      • +1

That is for purchases on Amazon. Not purchase of Amazon gift cards.

  • Does anyone know if you can use giftcard balance to pay for prime?

  • So max per card per month is 3?
So do 3 now and 3 tomorrow if still able to?

    • This 6% CB ends tonight.

    • Edit: 3 per denomination

  • -1

Anyone else noticed Amazon's value for money has decreased since they've been doing 5%+ gift cards regularly

  • Used the search function to locate promo. Used available cash back to purchase 3 x $100 gift cards.
    Shop back tracked.
    No challenge required.
    Smoothest shop back transaction yet.

  • +2

Cheers. Got 3 of each - $27 in total CB tracked.

  • +2

Anyone else get the feeling companies are pushing giftcards because they see the economy tanking my in the near future and want to lock in your money now?

    • +3

Probably more so due to interest rates being higher and therefore the value of getting a prepayment is higher.

  • +2

It appears that you can buy 3 at a time, I can still buy more in another transection

  • Can I use these gift cards on both the amazon us and amazon aus?

  • Thanks!

  • +3

I don’t buy that much from Amazon to take advantage. Will wait for the $3 cashback when purchasing a $30 card offers.

  • Is it just me that eBay prices have been consistently better than Amazon on random stuff? Unless I'm getting branded grocery and household items, eBay appears to be cheaper and discounted GCs are more accessible too. I guess you get the individual product reviews on Amazon as opposed to seller reviews on eBay, which are actually useful, but not everything has reliable reviews on Amazon either.

    • I've found EBay customer service awful and their "eligible items" promos suck!

    • Not sure if ebay prices are better but Amazon prices really suck recently and are only good when price matching something from elsewhere and you can stack S&S on top of it. But their price matching has gone downhill as well, usually only price match 1 or 2 items in a range and not all of it, and usually price match with their highest quantity version which can be a much bigger bulk purchase than just buying from the store that originally has it on sale.

    • I've found for things doing across platforms k the same seller albeit buying brought eBay… That eBay stores were more expensive.

    • +1

Tech is cheaper on eBay averagely and food/consumables are generally cheaper on Amazon.

  • +1

Stacks with the Westpac $5 gift card offer too (spend over $50 on any gift card)

  • +2

Stacks with $5 Westpac bonus if not used already

  • Thanks op

  • $100 denomination sold out

  • Confirmed. $50 still available.

  • $100 sold out.

Only let me get 2x $50.

Edit - came back and bought a third one seperately.
