  • With the upgrade to PNY EpicX option, are you getting the OC version or smth?

  • +1

Lead time is 8-9 work days now, not a knock, just a heads up for anyone ordering.

  • Hi BPC, I bought this two weeks ago for pickup and have spent most of this weekend diagnosing issues (blue/black screens, drivers not installing). I only recieved a box for the GPU but in future I think you should offer all boxes and parts to customers who pick up the PC. Also I'm coming in on Monday to show you guys my Windows Memory Diagnostic and MemTest86 results which show problems with the RAM that make it unusable currently. MemTest86 diagnosed over 10k errors before simply posting 'FAIL'. At the very least I need the RAM replaced; I could have removed each stick of RAM and tested to see which one (or both) is the problem but figured I'd better not touch the internal myself before handing it to your technicians. Will send an email about this… just disappointed this very basic test wasn't carried out in your "QC testing" stage and worried about any other unseen hardware issues.

    • Hi krylo,

Sorry to hear about your experience, would you mind leaving your order number with us So I will get the support team ready tmr?

      Sincerely,
      BPC Team

      • Sure, thanks for your prompt reply.
My order number is #BPC000175547. Will be in around 3pm.

Edit: Just for clarification, I've only had the PC since Friday.

        • Hi krylo,

          NP see you tmr.

          Sincerely,
          BPC Team

    • How did you fix your black screen issue?

  • Hi,

Noticed that the parts were changed on 14/2/2023. Just wanted to make sure you still build the computers that were ordered prior to this date with the original parts listed?

    • Hi Sqin,

The orders before the change of the parts will be fulfilled as the original parts listed.

If you have further questions please PM us and we will give you a detailed update.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Hi BPC, Could you share some pic to show what is the default packaging and the Extra Secure Packaging? I am planning to buy a PC like this in 1-2 months when my bonus arrives but kind of worried about PCIE damage during transition with such a heavy GPU…

        • Hi dddd2,

          Our premium dispatch services include:

          Priority Handling
          Extra Secure Packaging
          Freight Insurance Included

As PC Systems are very fragile, we provide the same highest-level of secure packaging for all customers who bought gaming PCs.

The extra cost for premium dispatch services of Gaming PCs will be more reflected in Priority Handling.

The parts preparation process and system assembling will be prioritized which reduces the waiting time.

The extra secure packaging service is for items and PC parts.

          Cheers,
          BPC Team

          • @BPC Technology: Good to know, thanks

          • @BPC Technology: Reduces by how much? What is current wait time with and without paying the extra?

            • +1

              @adamtuba: Hi adamtuba,

The current wait time for Priority Handling Customers is around 5-7 Working days.

Without Priority Handling service, the wait time is around 10-14 Working days.

              Cheers,
              BPC Team

              • @BPC Technology: Really? I ordered on the 27th (2 days before you wrote this) and paid for the Priority Handling. I have still not received anything.

  • Just about to pull the trigger, did the parts change partway through the deal lessen the quality? Or much of a muchness :)

    • I pulled the trigger a few days ago.

It now has a much better SSD. MOBO is well-reviewed, I think it's better or about the same give/or take. The case change now doesn't have the glass at the front, it's a mesh cover, but the rest stays the same.

I also spent a lot of research to also get these upgrades:
      CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X
GPU: PNY Verto Epic X RTX4080
      Extra SSD: Kingston KC3000 1024GB
      Power Supply: Corsair 850W Gold PSU + 600W PCI-e 5.0 Cable

And added via contacting them: x2 Seagate ST8000DM004 8TB

Just remember, if you're going to game with a screen resolution lower than 4k, make sure your monitor is 120hz-144hz to take advantage of the extra fps.

  • I have just noticed it due to others, I was one of the first to buy this i just noticed its listed as 1TB 7000mb/s SSD
But the ssd i got is only 1800mb/s and not as good.
pretty unfair. disappointing I got a slower ssd for same price
One you gave me is only PCIe 3.0

anyway i can swap it for the one listed on ad that im meant to get or return it?

  • hi Rep, any plan to release am4 + 4080 deal

  • Just a heads up - I ordered on Feb 11th, lead time was 7 working days back then. 7 days past and nothing on my email (no parts reserved etc), so I called last week.

It was promised then that I can pick it up around the middle of this week. I don't have a car so I booked one hopefully I can pick it up this Saturday. Nothing again. Called today and "the order was scheduled to be built next week". Very disappointed.

    • Same here, ordered 11th of Feb. Told 7-9 days. Today I am told they are getting things out of the warehouse to start building at some point. Definitely going to be at least 3+ weeks wait. People should be aware at the large delays in getting something built

    • I can imagine they're up to their teeth in builds, I rather they take their time to get it right.

  • Silly question, why this deal is more expensive than another deal from BPC?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758888

I check the parts, this one total price is $3282 and the Siren Vortex Essential GeForce RTX 4080 total price is $3291.64, it is cheaper than this post deal (2499$ + double Ram $69 +upgrage PSU $179 = $2697)

I know the Siren Vortex is out of stock, but can someone please advise which one has better performance and quality?
    Sorry for these noob questions.
    Regards

    • +1

I checked the part comparisons with PCPartPicker:

      This deal vs the other

      RAM:
      $229 vs $89

      SSD:
      $139 vs $105

      Power Supply:
      $285 vs $109

      MOBO:
      $469 vs $234

There's $819 more value there which if you add to the other deal: $2,449 + $819 = $3,268

So you're left with the CPU and cooler, where I don't think there's more than $539 value there.

Lastly, regarding the GPU, the other deal has a more expensive one by $170, but the performance, should be the same, the GPU in this one, only the 4090 performs better.

So we're left with $3,098. This deal is $2,988 and you're getting a better MOBO, power supply, more RAM and a better SSD.

I would think this deal is the better choice, especially when you price in some of the upgrades ($100 more gets you the better GPU).

  • Received mine today. Bitterly disappointed, I can't boot the damned thing at all. Surely these are tested before shipping?

    • Hi jnewau,

We are truly sorry about this issue. Could you please PM us your order number so our support team can get in touch with you right now?

      Regards,
      BPC Team

    • How did you go? I have the same problem as you.

  • I received mine last week and have to say great service and a fast build time with BPC.

Has anyone noticed that radiator fans are obnoxiously loud? I've even tuned them down to 20% (minimum) RPM but they still have a loud mechanical humming sound.

    • Just installed windows and year loud as fans (i got the case and CPU cooler upgrade to the Val 240). Noticed the MB temp monitor said it was idle at 77 C….. seems odd. Will get some other monitoring software but that could be one reason….
Seems a solid build, very happy so far

      • On second thoughts… solid isnt a word i would use, I wondered why i had touse the onboard video to install windows… thought maybe drivers. Now looking the 4080 isnt detected in BIOS. Investigation to follow then see what we do.
Reseated the card and no joy. LEts see what BPC do about that

        • +1

Let us know how you go, @Danstar had similar problems which he went into great detail in the other threads. So if you get stuck, would be a good place to start. Seems to be happening too often now. Going to be a nervous day when mine arrives.

      • +1

77 is way toooooo high. I thought it was a motherboard issue when I first saw that; but yeah, sounds like cooler not installed properly and isn't doing it's job

        • Yeah Bios is showing 34, more concerned witht he 4080 not showing up. BPC have replied and they are working with me to find a solution. I will update as i get news for others. Thanks

          • +2

@akallabeth: If it's not showing up it's most likely faulty.

I was likely with a faulty card I got off them; I have 2 other gaming PCs that I could test the card with / put in another video card in the new system to narrow down the problem.

            • @Danstar: So BPC have sent a return slip and its on the way back. Not an ideal start but its great they are supporting me and are going to fix.

              • @akallabeth: I'll be in this boat tomorrow after I call, did you have to pay to ship it back, how did you send it?

                • +1

@RocketSwitch: They paid the return post, my system was delivered to them yesterday…. so lets see how this goes…

                  • +1

@akallabeth: Good luck mate, I'm padding up my system now to send back.

                    • @RocketSwitch: You too, it seems like they are pretty good to deal with so thats a massive bonus.

                      • +1

@akallabeth: Yep, all sent. Yes, they have been ultra-responsive and cannot ask for a better return.

I just wished QC is better to avoid this mess, and since not installing Windows anymore due to some Microsoft policy (strictly not allowed to provide Windows Pre-installation to customers unless a Windows License is purchased), first I have heard of it, and mine should have had that installed, was before the announcement, this would have been captured.

How else can you stress test it? Obviously, QC isn't picking up on these issues, so it needs to be better.

                        • +1

@RocketSwitch: Update on my system, was seen fixed and shipped back today (im told). Although we have had issues they (BPC) have been amazing to deal with.
Massive thanks and respect to the company for actually being professional and working toward a solution.

                          • +1

@akallabeth: Wow, that's awesome mate, thanks for sharing the good news. My PC got to them today, so hoping for some good news next week!

                            • +1

@RocketSwitch: Well I have a pc back, and i managed to make it work. Just happy its working. But BPC wow…. the videocard wasnt even installed in the PCIE slot… WHERE is the QC?? there is damage to the MB PCIE slot, slight damage to the 4080…. So dissapointed. I get that you are building for a price, but if you are building a unit do it right. you cost yourself 2 extra lots of shipping, and if i didnt need the damn PC now, id send it back because of the damage.
Hope others have a better experience…

                              • +1

@akallabeth: FFS, sorry to hear your build has slight damage. I'll be checking mine like a hawk when I get it back. Any damage, I'm done.

  • Pumped to get my build, had a couple changes to which BPC were very accommodating!
3 weeks since I ordered and still waiting for a 'Work in Progress' email; how long are others waiting at the moment?

    • Ordered Feb 22. Got the parts reserved email on Mar 6. Still waiting.

      • Ordered Feb 27 and paid for priority. Nothing yet

        • I'll be happy with the wait if our systems come with any faults.

      • I ordered on 17 Feb, but made changes on 21 & 22 Feb, which apparently sets my build date back.
Was told last Wednesday afternoon I was adjusted to Priority handling and it should be ready to ship with in a couple of days.. yet to hear anything.
        Hope you've had more luck

        • +1

Was just told at least another week for mine to get built. Don't trust them when they say just another couple days, I've been told that for 3 weeks now. Was even told last Wednesday that it would be built that day.

          • @adamtuba: That's unfortunate to hear; I was advised yesterday mine should have started the build process by the end of the day…

          • @adamtuba: Just got my 'Work in Progress' email.

            • @MattyAu: Nice. I hope I get that email soon. It has now been a month since I made the order.

              • @RocketSwitch: Hopefully this week for you.
I got a QC Passed email 50 minutes after the WIP email, so hopefully it'll be shipped today.
As with any new build, I'll be running the usual stress tests when I get it.

                • +1

@MattyAu: Me too. Just got the WIP and QC pass email. I'll join you on that stress test. Good luck.

                  Things to watch out for:
                  - Temps should be low enough
                  - Check the fans
                  - Check to see if the graphics card is picked up by the system
                  - Play a game that is system intensive for a few hours
                  - Memory stick issues (run memtest86)

                  • +1

                    @RocketSwitch: Received mine this morning.
Have set it up and started Windows installing. Installed fans are loud, will be replacing them with Arctic P12's. Testing to start this evening.
Hope you have a quick turnaround on your warranty claim!

                    • @MattyAu: Thanks mate for reporting back.

That's fantastic news, you got much further than I did haha!

Let's hope all your tests are great and you can enjoy the PC!!

Also, when I turned my PC on, although it was just a black screen, the fans were really quiet. Was it only when you installed Windows they became loud?

                      Thank you!!

                      • +1

@RocketSwitch: Everything all seems to be up to scratch so far.
My previous build was whisper quiet with Arctic P12 fans, so may be what I'm used to, but the fans sound load to me as soon as I fire up the PC; have a real whiney sound to them.

                        • @MattyAu: Mate, I'm happy your build is working fine, enjoy!

Thanks for the fan recommendation, when I get mine back, if it's loud, I'll also change to your recommendation, but yeah, I heard nothing when I turned mine on.

                          • +1

@RocketSwitch: Get your PC all sorted?

                            • +2

                              @MattyAu: Thanks for checking in.

Yeah, so far so good. Communication was inconsistent though, DM said they replaced the faulty parts with better parts, and in the email, they said the same parts. MOBO, CPU & RAM were changed. When I got it, the MOBO was changed to ASRock Riptide, $20 more than the Gigabyte one, and has WiFi. The RAM was Kingston Fury instead, I think it's a bit more expensive.

I received it with one screw hanging off, and a tiny scratch on the glass. Not that bad.

I did my tests, they installed Windows as I requested.

                              Memory tests PASSED.
                              HDD tests PASSED.
Mined with it to stress it, with no issues.
Fans are not too loud, as I would expect, and not silent, about 56db.
Temps are good, 36 idle, 46-56 playing a game.
Played a 4K game for 2 hours thus far, no issues.

However, I did encounter a BSOD. DRIVER_STATE_FAILURE just before I went to restart after a Windows update (to help anyone that encounters this, read below).

I set my PC to performance mode, never sleep and HDD to never sleep.
I noticed there were heaps of drivers missing, Device Manager had ! on several:
I went to ASRock website to get an auto-installer to install all my drivers. I also installed the drivers for the AIO, keyboard, mouse, and RAM.

5-10 hours later, no BSOD. I have BlueScreen Viewer and Event Viewer to monitor any issues, looks like critical and errors were reduced close to 0 after the installation of drivers (this was nearing 1,000 prior).

So 4-5 days in, it's running like a dream, fingers crossed. Boots in 5-8 seconds, WiFi on the MOBO downloads 2.6GB in a minute, and everything is instant!

Took almost 2 months, but we got there, so I'm grateful. 2-3 more days of testing and then the migration from the old PC begins!

EDIT: They also read everything I wrote to them on the paper I sent, they recabled the GPU so it doesn't hit the glass anymore.

            • +3

@MattyAu: I got mine late yesterday afternoon too. After weeks of asking via email, it's a shame that it took whinging on ozbargain to get things moving quickly. Now to wait 3 years for auspost to deliver it

  • Anyone else having issues with their system? Games can't run for more than 10 minutes without crashing. Have tried a bunch of different things and Memtest and windows memory diagnostic has come back with errors so I'm assuming it's RAM but don't know how common that is for a fresh build?

CPU is idling around 48-50 degrees. I don't know if that's a clue at all?

Any1 got any recommendations. Still waiting to hear back from support, emailed a week ago and followed up yesterday still with no response.

    • What happens when it crashes exactly ?

Does the PC blue screen or black screen? Does the screen pixelate matrix style just before it crashes ?

      • Thanks for the response.

It's BSOD once but most of the time the game will just close with no pixelation or black screen.

Wow for instance I usually get this error: (with a bunch of different numbers not just 0's)

The instruction at 0x00000 referenced memory at 0x00000. the memory could not be read.

Has happened in a few other games I've played whenever it get's to a certain amount of resources required.

Just idling or watching video/browsing the web it seems fine only when playing games.

    • Hi Dank Memer,

Could you please kindly provide us with your order number in PM?

      Regards,

    • Had this build for a few weeks, having very similar issues. Ran memtest86 and getting thousands of errors. After multitudes of troubleshoots with no avail, going to contact them to hopefully get a quick fix.

      • Hi Clustar,

Could you please kindly provide us with your order number in PM?

Update: Got quickly exchanged a new pair of ram after contacting them. Seems to have fixed the problems!

  • +1

Woo, got my tracking number!! Finger's crossed 🤞

  • +1

Got my PC, and when I turn it on it says no bootable device found. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Also, the PC just turned off by itself while in the BIOS.

Now, when I turn it on, nothing shows on the screen. And the fans all stop. And you can't turn it off without holding the power button. FFS!!

So much for passing QC!!! So disappointed!!!

    • Hey @RocketSwitch

If nothing is showing up; it could a couple different issues. Can you see the video card lights / fan turning on? Is there any beeps that happen?

      • Hey @Danstar, the video card lights up (RGB) and the fans for it turn on. No beeps.

I noticed there is a red light on the MOBO; I missed it before, it's on the DRAM.

I also noticed there's some kind of white light coming from the MOBO it seems when the PC is off.

        I hope that helps.

        • There’s usually a small red light on all motherboards

this might sound basic; but try plugging the hdmi or dP cable in a different slot. Or use a different cable all together if you haven’t already

          • @Danstar: I tried another HDMI, in the onboard slot and the video card slot, no signal.

The fans of the video card run, but all 4 fans connected to the case stop soon after I turn it on (I turned it on after several hours of being off, those fans continued to run, looks like after you turn it off from that point and turn it on again, those fans stop soon after you turn the PC on again).

You also can't power off the PC without holding it down for 5 seconds.

When I first turned the PC on, it booted in BIOS. As I was searching for a way to fix "no bootable device found", the PC turned off by itself and since that, I never saw a signal again.

            • @RocketSwitch: Try plugging out 1 of the ram sticks and only running 1 channel; if 1 doesn’t work, swap it with the other one

              • @Danstar: I did that.

                Interchanged each one, no signal.

After 30secs to a minute, the fans in the case stop turning.

                  @RocketSwitch: Hmmm

Could be bad motherboard or power supply…

Sorry I can’t be of more help

                  • @Danstar: Thanks for your help mate. I even tried to reset the BIOS by taking out the battery.

                    It's ridiculous.

                    • @RocketSwitch: Not good. I’m assuming they’re quite busy and not thoroughly testing their builds.

Damn, that really sucks after the wait. Hope it gets sorted asap.
I'm still waiting on AusPost to deliver mine, expecting it to arrive tomorrow.

They tried to help me, so calling the warranty team tomorrow. I spent the whole weekend searching and researching. Took the day off too to troubleshoot. I just don't understand.

  • Considering cancelling my order, seems to be a few QC issues with this build. Also struggled to get an answer about what stage my build is at, and been refused part changes despite others on this thread getting that option. Haven't got a parts reserved email or a build in progress email so should be easy to cancel the order. I'll post here on how it goes.

    • Refund sent and received, no issues.

  • Ordered Date: 16th March
    Parts Reserved: 27th March

Paid for Premium Dispatch Service and Startrack Premium delivery.

I am hoping that my PC doesn't come with major issues. I'm fairly amateur in PC build so running diagnostics will be more challenging for me.
