BPC having a go at a new RTX 4080 setup.

I've manually adjusted the list for BPC's prices Case, PSU, fans and SSD (assumption made on previous deals). Looks like a decent saving.

any option to upgrade the PSU? Insane deals lately guys! you are smashing the comp out the water!

    • +5

Doesnt look like it. I would like to upgrade Mobo and psu, but i probably wont like what the price tag looks like after than lol

      • In this deal table the BPC tech price for power supply is $109.00. I got a Corsair RMX1000 from Amazon for $298 so I don't think it would add as much as you fear.

      • What PSU and mobo would you recommend for ddr5 memory (wanting 32gb)?

        Is this pc a upgrade from using a 3900x and a 2080 super? 4k 120hz

        • I have that exact CPU and GFX card. To me a deal like this is tempting, but definitely not a must have upgrade.

        • +1

With mobos and psus theres so many options recommending just one is hard.
I just know i want a mobo with wifi and a psu with 80 plus gold minimum and a great reputation.

    • +3

Contact them directly and ask. I reckon they would.

      • +1

yeah someone mentioned getting the mobo and psu upgraded after contacting them and paying the extra costs

      • +4

Bought a PC with them early 2022 - they definitely will swap out parts if you want, I requested and they did for me . Great guys.

  • +1

Are the prices getting better because the 7000x3d are coming out soon?

    • -1

      WHAT!!!! lol

    • Not really

    • Intel CPU prices were never high, wtf you on about

  • +4

I see a downward trend of intel CPUs prices too, probably do do with imminent 7000x3d.

  • +1

Ok ok… this or their AMD build??

    Will be buying today

    • could you link the amd build?

    • They are both good in their own ways. Then there's the argument AMD vs NVIDIA.

If I went the AMD. I'd add the 7900XTX, 7700 CPU (bit more power for 4k and beyond), the 6000Mhz RAM for the Zen 4 sweet spot.
      https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-confirms-ddr5-6000-ram…

And probably the fast SSD. Which will put it at $2,765.00

      • why do i feel like this gen just isn't it.

I might just hold off altogether and wait for competency in the 4k 144hz space.

        • +3

Theres always something new around the corner.. you could wait until your 99yrs old.

          • @pharkurnell: yeah i know, i know.

i'm not moving up too much though. 3440 x 1440 with my 3070ti is holding up very well.

            • @Carrian: I feel like its not worth upgrading every GPU generation, but every 2nd one seems to be ok. Every 3rd if you can deal with being at the end of a cycle for a bit. I've got a 2070 Super and a 9400k so am looking to upgrade when the 13 series chips come out from Intel, and going with a 4000 series GPU. Along with DDR5 I figure that should be getting pretty close to 4k 120hz playability in most AAA games.

            • +2

@Carrian: If you already have a 3070ti, no way would I look to upgrade to this unless you are already having issues you can't easily fix.

  • +10

Man.. prices have gone down a lot with all these deals.

I bought my PC for $2150 (down from $2400 using an eBay code) 3 months ago and got a 12600K / 6900XT

Now I'm sitting in the corner listening to Simple Plan wondering how could this happen to me?

    • +3

My mate paid 3.5k for a 3080 rig a couple of months back (it did have some nice components). Flashforward and you can a 4080 rig kitted for that or less.

      • +2

paid 1200 for my 3070ti build from gumtree.

        it's elite.

    • I got a 3080 build just a month ago. All up cost me $2100
      It is a compact NZXT H1 build with 5tb (1tb SN770 and 4tb mx500 sata ssd), 32gb ram and i5 12600k processor.
      Still hurts though.

      • +3

No you have a fine pc for a great deal. Brag

    • +2

Paid like $1350 for my RTX 3070 :(

      • used, mined on fleebay with $50 coupon off $450

  • Excellent deal

  • Time to move on to DDR5 …

    • +1

makes no difference and 5 X the cost, no

      • Ddr5 no difference, really? What if i want to future proof the build. Worth it or not?

        • its hard to future proof anything right now, you would probably need more upgrades anyway
if you need pc right now best to get ddr4 around 4000k or even 3600k with low latency - 16 gb is pretty cheap
i cant see ddr5 being a thing that will provide massive difference to gaming for next 4 years. , not before pcle 5 and other bits come into play

      • 5x the cost? Don't be ridiculous!
They're almost the same price these days.
And they were never ever 5x the price.. 2x Max..

    • +1

1-3% increase in gaming performance… lol

  • How much without the motherboard and ram?

  • +1

not sure why Storage is still gen 3

  • +1

not long till GPU prices start to drop!!

    • I sincerely wish this would happen, but greatly doubt it. Only Intel GPUs are affordable.

  • +1

Hey OP, if you want to finish off TechFast all you need to do is a budget AMD build $500-$550 and it will be KO

    • +7

If I was tied to BPC in anyway I might try convince them. Just a ozbargainer with PC fetish. Just seem to post BPC a lot as I'm always looking to see what's new.

I'm also looking to upgrade my 2080 PC, so I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of these.

  • A decent deal, I got the 4070ti build from previous deal and I already regret, I should have got this one.

    • How much did you pay

      • +1

2k6 with some upgrade, but if choose this one with similar upgrade option will end in around 2k9, but both cpu and gpu will be better

        • What upgrades would you get with this build?

          • @cubey: I would go ssd ,ram and power, then plus windows10, total is 2955

    • +1

I think I might have gotten the same build as you, no regrets here despite the price. Very happy with the 4070ti (was upgrading from a gtx970).

  • :'( to think this oc build costs as much as my 3070 itx build with same processor.

  • +2

I'll probably have to block myself from going on Ozbargain after I bought a PC. There will be better deal two days later…

  • Anyone buy from them recently and know the current lead time?

    • +2

BPC rep posted this on another deal:

Due to extreme demand, we need to be honest with you all that the current waiting time for Gaming PCs to be built is around 10-15 working days.

      • Which is pretty reasonable compared to some other suppliers during their normal level of demand.

  • +1

How is the hashrate nowdays, LoL?

  • can you change the case to a scrotec ?

  • a bronze psu for 4080?

    • +1

      Since when is this matter???

  • Quoted an additional 2k to upgrade to a RTX 4090

    • As an Ozbargainer, did you buy 10?

  • What was the regular price?

    • +2
      Total $3,291.64

Deal description had the answers you SEEK! 🐍

  • If upgraded, what do you guys usual do with old components?

  • Will this build support DDR5 if I was to upgrade later on? :)

    • No it's a ddr4 mobo

  • I'm curious about buying a prebuild PC compared to building my own, how does BPC sell at this price when the GPU alone costs around 2k? The rest of the parts are not high-end as expected to save some cost, but its still a $800 saving.

  • About to pull the trigger but why would they use such a fat case. 1/4 of my desktop or leg room will be taken

  • Apparantly, the cooler for this one isnt great 🤔. But theres no option to change the cooler either… Is it better to just email BPC to change the cooler to the v2 version instead?

  • Great build. I think intel cpus can go down.

  • Not a lot of point in a K on this PC as the MB isnt a Zseries

    • This is pretty much the only thing stopping me from buying.

    • may i ask why? The MB does not ultilise the i5 13600KF?
I am concerned about the case as it is just too wide and takes alot of space.

      • The B660 chipset can't overclock the overclockable K CPU.
        As for the case, the only problem I see with it is the IO panel (2 x USB2, 1 x USB3). I'd prefer to see 2 x USB3, 1 x USB-C, 1 x USB-BC.

      • +1

The B series chipset can still take advantage of the K series CPU without overclocking. Undervolting can also be problematic.
TBH these are enthusiast features that only a small subset of users are going to take advantage of.

Compared to the non K i5-13600, the i5-13600K has the following advantages that the B series chipset can utilise,

+800 MHz Performance-core Base Frequency (3.50 GHz vs 2.70 GHz)
+100 MHz Performance-core Max Turbo Frequency (5.10 GHz vs 5.00 GHz)

+600 MHz Efficient-core Base Frequency (2.60 GHz vs 2.00 GHz)
+200 MHz Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency (3.90 GHz vs 3.70 GHz)

        +8.5 MB L2 Cache (10 MB vs 11.5 MB)

  • Currently says it's sold out.

  • +1

Hey rep, would you restock this or do the same price + the difference of a few parts that I would like to swap and change with?

    • +1

You may have to ask in BPC's recently posted deal. Unfortunately I'm not a rep and one hasn't been seen in this post.
