    How many pizza ovens does the average OzBargainer have out the backyard / in a room somewhere now 🤔

    Total pizza manufacturing capacity ^^^^^

    • More than one at least!

    • 2 outdoor ovens when my Roccbox order gets delivered, plus 2 built in ovens in my kitchen. How’s that for a humble brag. #ovensftw

    • I have one of these gas ovens each bedroom, it keeps the room nice and warm with a hint of pizza aroma. They're great in winter especially with the doors shut tight

  • +2

    Popularity for pizza ovens must be dropping or people are getting the knockoff versions which work just as well for half the price

    • +1

      People like the Gozney because of the 20mm thick stone. It means less temperature drops between pizzas.

    • +9

      That's one of the worst takes i've ever seen

      • -3

        Then my work here is done.

      • If it's not fuelled by hand-carved sticks from Napoli, I may as well boil it in a skillet.

        Same taste.

    • +4

      Yeah that's incorrect.

      Also your gas one is going to be ready in 15-20 minutes with the chamber temp and likely stone, for pellets you are looking at least 50 minutes.
      Also charcoal/wood flavouring is a myth for these little pizza ovens when cooking pizzas for like 60 seconds.

    Get this instead from Kegland, at half that price.

    • This made me finally go for the Hizo G14.

      I can't justify paying double for the Gozney when it's even smaller than the Hizo G14.

    • Thanks @bboz, I pulled the trigger on this together with some premium pizza ingredients from them.

      • Nice one 👍

    These prices… As I can't be bothered with gas bottles, I'm now considering trying out a pizza cooker like this: https://www.victoriasbasement.com.au/p/masterpro-the-ultimat… which:
    * is also as inflexible and capable of baking flat things only,
    * is at a price of 4-5 decent pizzas (20 domino's),
    * doesn't require fuel,
    * can be used indoors,
    * doubles as a house heater along the way.

    • Not even in the same league as fire based pizza ovens, apples and oranges. Username doesn’t check out.

        That's for sure, yet until you build yourself a wood-fired furnace there's always going to be an argument like that.

        What I'm thinking about: $99, no hassle, potentially edible pizza anytime.
        What's in this deal: $600+, gas bottles and the setup, probably great pizza when it doesn't rain.
        What's proper: thousands of $, chopping firewood and a pizzaiolo crash course in Italy, absolutely stunning pizza baked in its own dedicated room or at a restaurant that came in the package with the oven.

        • +2

          Not sure how rain is a factor, undercover outdoor areas? And not probably, you get amazing pizza and gets even better once you’ve had a few goes at it. Restaurant quality.

        • +1

          These machines do restaurant quality pizzas. They are fantastic. No comparison to those electric things. Not hard to hook up a gas bottle and you can always cook under an umbrella in the rain.

        • Thanks for the input, everyone.

  • Good guys have a solt one for 299

    • They also sell Solt microwaves. Similar.

      • I'm intrigued what you're using to bake your pizzas.

        • +1

          I get international students chefs to cook my pizzas to perfection at the world renowned pizzeria, Domino's.

  • Should I pull the pin on this one or will there be a Roccbox 2 soon. Dont want to buy this and 3 months later "Hey here you have Roccbox 2". I know i know this is the same scenario with any product….

    • +1

      It's a basic pizza oven, not a nintendo…

    Finally pulled the trigger on this after days of deliberation and panic at the Gozney deal being sold out. Thanks OP! I'll look forward to trying it out :) I'm assuming it comes with the launching peel if it is the sameas the Gozney deal? Couldn't see anywhere on the BBQ Galore site that mentioned it…

    • +1

      Launching peel is included in the box, so would certainly assume so! :)

        Thanks 🙂

        • Any luck in receiving your pre-order yet? My local store still hasn't received stock and don't know when they will :(

  • +1

    seems to have ended

    • Indeed it does, will mark as expired.

  • I won't allow me to checkou. How do you preorder?

  • Anyone lucky enough to have had their pre-order come into their local store for pickup yet?

  • Picked mine up from the good guys on Sunday. Has the wrong regulator attachment…
