Just wondering if you cancel your prime member, are you still able to access the previous the One Free Kindle Book This Month?

    • Wondering same

Once you get it, it stays in your library regardless of your prime status, so can procrastinate reading for as long as you like without losing it.

      • Thank you. That is good to know.

  • Thankyou!

  • Is it free ANY books there or just Amazon selected list?

    • +5

You just get to select from a list of upcoming titles selected by Amazon (usually get to choose 1-2 books from a list of about 8-10 titles per month). I usually wait until closer to the end of the month - that way there are more reviews for each title.

Has there been any non-fiction? I am only interested in this.

    Psychological Suspense: The Maid's Dairy

That sounds like the title of novel that's in a completely different genre from psychological suspense.

      It's "physiological suspense".

It's told from the perspective of the cow.
      It's very mooving.

      • +1

As opposed to the Maids perspective which is udder bulls#!t

    • :D Updated now.

  • I have a vague recollection that in the past you could choose from the new first reads for that month, or one from a list of the previous ones if you didn't like anything from the current month. Was that ever the case and if so, can you still do that these days?

or one from a list of the previous ones if you didn't like anything from the current month. Was that ever the case

I don't think that has ever been the case. You only get to choose from what they give you each month. Most months it's 1 free book only, and on rarer occasions it's 2 free books.

I find most of the book choices are meh. It's always the same sort of stories — I don't recall there ever being any non-fiction books, for example.

Yeah thanks. I did remember it being two books on occassion too. I just could've sworn at some stage I went into the previously free ones.. but it was a while ago and my recollection may not be helping me 😂

  • I had no idea about this, thanks for sharing OP!

  • Anyway to use browser to read the book for me? I am so lazy to read, and Edge only reads the header and footnote, not the content :P
