          Not buying GCs with my balance, however my Amazon GC balance is a few grand and I have been flagged now multiple times for suspicious activities when trying to buy things over a few hundred dollars.

          The expected delivery date comes and goes and I had to chase Amazon up multiple times to push the order through.

        The code is only for the Amazon GC promo (one per account). The other GCs don't require a code and you can make multiple purchases. Also for non-Amazon GCs you can pay using promo credit and Amazon GCs. However be warned the Ultimate GC site and app are super buggy and the whole process can be quite tedious if you are purchasing multiple cards.

      The cynic inside me is wondering if Bezos is running an experiment to see at what amount/percentage will people stop buying gift cards for the bonus Amazon credit.

      And whilst I agree, this is a relatively paltry bonus of 5% (vs what used to be much more significant), it's still better than the 3% discounted gift cards… although, Amazon credit is not the same as a gift card balance especially when it comes time to do a refund.

              The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items.

              I hope you get all the 4 promotional credits as you say. I would like to get more if that's the case, but not sure if I would risk it now. Perhaps let us know when all 4 promotional credits land in your Amazon balance (or not)?

      Use the Amazon desktop version. It’s annoying that you can’t see it on the mobile/app version. You can see on the right, below the Order Total, of this screenshot says:

I placed an order for something else just 10 minutes before seeing this deal, so not sure if it's worth the gamble cancelling that and trying with the GC promo (I'm still getting the same message that the promo code cannot be applied)

                @mixn: I can confirm it works - got my $10 benefit same time as redemption of my $200 gift card (applying balance to account).

                do not confuse the $10 promotional credit with gift card credit. it's alot more limited in what you can spend it on, usually it gets automatically applied on prime au listed items only.

    so got the $200 airbnb voucher, voucher came to my email within 5 mins and i applied it to my airbnb account
    I checked my amazon account and could not see the $20 promo
    I got on chat with amazon and asked the guy about it, he seemed clueless but then manually applied a $20 promo to my account
    by the time i ended the chat and looked at my amazon account (you can only see the promo at checkout) i had $40 credit. Looks like the initial $20 promo got applied while i was on chat with the dude. guess i got lucky here.

      I just used it on an Amazon GC a few minutes ago and received the credit already.

      Then used the GC on a $200 Airbnb GC and it only charged me $190. Have received the $20 credit for this too.

      edit: Doesn't look like you can get the bonus on a second Airbnb GC.

      After applying, it doesn't show up as applied. If you try again, it'll say it cannot be applied (because it already has been). I just did it 2 minutes ago, and I got the confirmation email I got the $10 credit.
      Per amazon "For eligible customers, the promotion code AMAZONFEST should be entered only once at the checkout. If you enter the code more than once, the following message is displayed at the checkout. You can make the purchase and promotion will still be applied."
