$3 Bonus Promo Terms - read carefully as it will save a lot of questions:

  1. To be eligible for the $3 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then purchase a Choice gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) via the Gift Card Page on Cashrewards (link is on the activation page).
  2. After activation, gift card purchase must be made by 4pm AEDT 07/02/23. Bonus will decline if purchase is made after 4pm AEDT.
  3. Activations are capped at 3000. Once activation limit is reached, you can still purchase until 4pm AEDT (provided you first activated the bonus).
  4. Bonus is eligible on purchase of a Choice gift card of $30 denomination (or higher) in a single transaction.
  5. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of the associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised cashback rate which still applies to the transaction.
  7. Gift card purchases through the Gift Card Page are available only via desktop or mobile browsers. They are not available via the Cashrewards App.
  8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  9. Cannot be used in conjunction with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend or any other promotion that may be active at this time.
  10. Review all terms & conditions of this Digital Gift Card prior to finalising your order. All terms are set by the retailer, not by Cashrewards. Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For general tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.     have triple checked everything and tried multiple times.

    • The expiry has to be the full year for example 2023 not just 23

      • As others have commented, have you tried entering 4 digits for the expiry year?

        • If I only enter 4 digits it says "* Expiry date (mm/yyyy) is required"

        • Yes I've tried 3 different cards and already entered 4 digits for the expiry year. Still the same error message "Declined - The request is missing one or more field".

          In total I've tried 5x to purchase. Same issue.

    I got the same issue, missing field and declined.

    • As others have commented, have you tried entering 4 digits for the expiry year?

      • Yes, I will try entering manually instead loading from wallet.

      • Still doesn't work. Tried 8 times.

  • I had the missing field issue with the expiry date field but when I looked closer the field specified 4 digits rather than the usual 2. i.e. 2023 vs 23 for the year part. After changing to the full year it worked for me.

    I also have the "The order is marked for review by Decision Manager" error.
    Tried a second time, still the same error.
    Then I found my credit card got 2 pending transactions
    So I called 1800 850 739, they said they don't see any payment so the pending transaction should be reversed in a day or 2.

    However they have no idea why there is such error.
    All they can suggest is to use a different card.
    They also cannot confirm whether it's because I used a Coles prepaid Mastercard.
    Anyone else tried to use a prepaid card and transaction is successful?

    Safari on iPhone, prompted for a new card, after submitting payment details, it said "device data collecting". Well, it should have also said, why is it doing that.

    I love tightarse but does anyone actually gush over saving $3 on a gift card? Seems wild to me. These don't seem particularly abusable either with the limit.

      When it equals 10% off, we sure do! Plus these offers are fairly regular.

      • To be fair it's not 10% off at the higher denominations. So it's pretty much $3 flat, but I appreciate you find the offer useful. I just personally don't understand it.

          Tightarse makes it pretty clear that it's the $30 card that should be purchased. If you wish to purchase a higher denomination it's up to you but of course the % off rate decreases. Better off grabbing the $30 card and then finding other ways to buy gift cards at better discounts for higher amounts.

      Failed for me too, I have been able to use the same card on my account and partner's for earlier gift card purchases. Using the same card worked on Safari but on Chrome for my account, it has failed twice. There was even a successful pending pre-auth transaction.

      @tightarse True Rewards payment platform is making this look bad. These used to be quick and easy 1 minute transactions, not anymore. :-|

          Not ur fault mate! I have done multiple testing in different browser/iOS/PC/Android, all failed and left multiple $30 authorization on my CC :)

    • It's marked as OOS. If you already activated, you had until 4 PM to make the purchase.

    What’s the point of changing payment gateway when it was not an issue before…

      If it’s more secure then why not

      And people also had issues where the stupid four digit code was not reflecting in their internet banking so couldn’t verify a card to make payment

      Some people also didn’t want their credit card details stored on there after making a purchase and had to manually delete the card each time

      Guess you can’t always please everyone

    Using coles master card, says need to be review by Decision Manager, got no gift card or confirmation email, but $30 taken from the balance. Call true reward, being told they received several reports of this and had escalated to the IT but for now no information provided.

    I recommend people not risk it for $3

    Tried different browsers and different devices and different credit cards.

    Edit: With Latitude CC I was able to get to SMS verification but no further. With Westpac CC I didn't even get to SMS verification.

  • In my case the payment went through as I can see that on my online transactions but Cashrewards are not issuing the gift card!!!

    What is happening with Cashrewards - I used to trust them. Now I will have to query the transaction. What a hassle.

    At this point, its cost me more time than $3 is worth. I give up

    Never had an issue with purchasing these gift cards from true rewards until today. Unable to purchase. Keep getting declined like many others. I appreciate that they are trying to keep up to date with security but it seems the payment system update has caused havoc for us Ozbargainers! Does not look like it will be fixed by 4PM in time to get the bonus.

      yes got same. searched it's due to added new card to google account (was too quickly clicked "ok" on popup), it will return in 24hr or some days.

    Can't make a payment like others have stated:
    Tried 3 different credit cards and each errors out with "Declined - The request is missing one or more fields".
    Guess I struck out with this one.

    Check your credit card statements everyone. It looks like their new payment gateway is having problems. I've got 2 charges for $30 even though I only purchased and received one card.
    I'll try calling the 1800 number that TA listed tomorrow.
