  Dr Martens are junk these days. If the sole doesn’t start coming off after 6 months, the heels will be worn down to nubs. Only ones worth a damn acre the UK made ones.

    I've heard this a lot, but FWIW, i got a pair of doc martens on sale from Kogan and they're 2.5 years running strong atm.

    Also, the original factory where Dr Marten's Shoes were made is still going strong and make shoes under the name of "Solovair", so there's always that option.

      I found the Vietnamese made ones a while ago were ok, better than the Chinese made ones.
