  got this board in august 2021 for $250…no point in builting a AM4 platform at this point in time imo

    Yes and no. Not high end 5900 etc, but something like a 5600 at a good price isn't bad if you have some DDR4 and a video card kicking about. Not much even now beats it in terms of bang for buck.

    I'd be looking at a cheaper board though.

      Exact path I went down. It's also an easy upgrade in the future with cheap DDR4, and a 5800X3D and graphics card upgrade combo will be an excellent value for money purchase in a few years to come

  Ethernet is problematic on this board. Constantly disconnects. Realtek 2.5Gbe has many complaints.

  I bought a Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 AMD AM4 WiFi 6 ATX Motherboard a week or two ago for $200 from shopping express. I thought even that was too much because the lowest point was $175 for those boards so I didn't post it here.
  Is this board any better?
