it'd probably be fine without all the decals on the top. Don't feel like explaining to visitors what a Blitzwolf is.

Wait until you tell them you bought it from BangGood!

      • And you found the deal on ozbargain!

      • The BangGood one will be harder to explain.

  • +1

The table top is split into two boards if anyone is wondering.

  • IT is a great little desk, much sturdier than one would assume.

  • 66cm is a bit narrow for office desk imo, need at least 80cm

    • i have one thats 70 and its ok

but i think their excuse is that it has a bit at the centre that protrudes out

    • +2

It's a gaming desk. So the thinner part makes it cooler and makes you better at games.

Kind of like the word "sports" added to other products lol.

    • narrow, or shallow?

      • Shallow now.

    • 70 is the minimum I would say.

  • I wonder how it compares to the ALDI gaming desk a couple months ago.

  • Is it standing desk? Sadly I don't like the colour

  • I can take the colour, but only have 135cm width to spare. Too bad.

  • "Gaming"

    • +1

It's the OzBargain trigger word along side Tesla and Alienware.

Very obviously designed and marketed towards gamers than the big corporate office wanting new cubicles.

      • hahah yeah it is, companies will stick it on anything to get sales.

I just finished building my "gaming" desk, using an adjustable base I got through here, and a 2000x800mm stained timber top. So much room for activities (and by activities, i mean crap my adhd brain has decided was a good thing to buy and now lost interest in)

        • damn son

          2m x 80cm

nice if you got the room

          • @tonyjzx: Yeah she is a big boi! Lucky I have a spare room that's my office/fun room. it's slightly more squishy in there now :(

            • @BlasterBoy: The true question is, is she a thick boi??

lol how thick is the timber top?

              • @harshbdmmaster718: best that you can buy from Bunnings son!

                • @tonyjzx: Yeah last time I checked they had some pretty good value options at bunnings.
                  Like this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/practa-2200-x-600-x-26mm-acacia-…

Except I couldn't find any solid wood options with 80 to 90cm depth. Only Laminate wood options which would have been good enough for my use but still prefer solid wood so it would have been great if the one I linked above came in multiple depths.

              • @harshbdmmaster718: hahaha she is only 30mm thick, my last desk was thicker, but I couldn't mount some things too it (Smallrig mounts etc)

The top was from Bunnings too, think it was 2400 long and we trimmed it down to suit, routered the edges to get rid of the sharpness and lacquered it.

Ill put up a photo when my new monitor turns up in the next day or so and i can finish setting it up,

30mm is plenty for a solid wood top.

Could you link to the table top? I assume it was more than the $109 one I linked, because I couldn't find any other budget solid wood options with the 80cm depth.

                  • @harshbdmmaster718: It wasn't a standard line product, they had a bunch on special a couple of years ago and a mate bought 6-8 of them.
I have seen them once again since then for sale, they were like $70 down from $250ish.

Alright thanks I will keep an eye out. Last time I looked I didn't even consider the $200+ options.

  • Cheer, grabbed one. When I logged in I also got a Welcome back bonus or something of an extra $22 off. Bargain!

  • So an update to my order:

    Dear customer,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for shopping with us.

We are sorry that due to the latest logistics limitations of the logistics carrier, the shipping fee of the original shipping method you choose will cost you more.

If you still want this parcel, would you mind pay extra shipping fee 51AUD to continue shipping?

If it is unacceptable to pay the extra shipping fee, we can help you to cancel this order and arrange a full refund for you.

Please note that the order will be canceled if there is not reply after 7 days.

Look forward to your reply. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

    Best regards,

    Customer Service Team

More than half again in extra shipping. Nah I don't think so.

    • wtf. Do you think if you didn't use those 2 coupons then they wouldn't ask for extra?

      • Possible 🤷 Still, pretty dodgy to be asking for extra after purchase. I've bought from them heaps in the past and this is something new for me. Doubt I'll use them again now.

        • I am thinking it's because you used the code in this deal, then you got the Welcome back bonus applied.
Is the total from those two discounts similar to what they are asking for? $51?

Yeah never have gotten asked to "pay extra" to fulfill an order either.

          • @harshbdmmaster718: Nope. I think both coupons were worth about $20 off each. So they are basically asking for all the discounts back, plus $10 extra.

It's sitting currently at $131 with free shipping still listed and with no coupons applied.

            Dodgy business practice that.
