Citi Rewards Credit Card: 150,000 Citi Rewards Points over 2 Years ($5,000 Spend in 90 Days), $49 First Year Fee (Save $100)

130

Was looking at this deal:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/757191
And found lower card offer that might be good if you want to keep it beyond the 1st year ($149 annual fee for year 2).

Should have lower limit ($2K-$100K according to the description) or salary requirement too than the Prestige, although they might not check as per other's comment

The 75,000 bonus Citi reward Points will be credited to your Rewards Balance within 8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria. Additional 75,000 bonus Citi reward Points: An additional 75,000 bonus Citi reward Points will be credited to your Rewards Balance within 12 weeks of your Account being open for 12 months

If there’s no payall, this would be very bad offer…

Only 75k points for first year. The minimum spending used to be $3000.

    • All Citibank credit cards can use PayAll, which means the minimum spend doesn't matter here.
Also means ideally you'd want at least a $6k credit limit if you want to meet the spend in the first month

      • don't need a higher limit just pay it early

      • Hi Can you pls confirm that payall transfer is considered to meet the minimum spend? i hear mixed reviews so that checking here.

        • I can personally confirm PayAll does contribute to the minimum spend since I did exactly this for the Prestige card just last month and got the bonus points.

Agreed, this is the type of card that's suitable for PayAll. Prestige one is better for signup bonus only (providing ur qualified for either)

      • Premier/Prestige is also better for the airline points conversion if that's your thing. In which case Premier might be the go to.

  • The minimum spending amount are normally excluding utility bills, council rates & gov payments. Can't remember if insurance & car rego are also excluded. I missed out last year.

    • Try paying such expenses via beemit if you can.
Paid ATO via beemit using Citi and STG to meet the min spend and it all worked fine.

  • What i do with the rewards point

you can redeem them for flights, hotels, cars, economy to biz upgrades etc.

  • This might be one of the last times an offer for Citi branded cards comes up. Applications for Citi personal bank accounts to stop in May. I'm expecting brand integration into NAB to happen next year.

      Any source for this ?

      Nmvd got it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/754409

Actually it doesn't say anything about credit cards. Just banking and home loans. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

    • the integration of 86400 into ubank has been a bit of a mess, wonder if they'll learn anything from that.

  • Wouldn't it be a loss if I have to keep this card long term? yes we save $100 first year but again paying $149 every year till we hold this card ? Also citi interest rates are very high if you don't pay the O/S balance on time….

    • Cause Citi currently has some great feature like PayAll :). Not sure until when they'd keep it though
