      Lol @ your username

    • Pity you don't even deserve it lmao.

  • +4

Can anyone comment whether these are actually any good for running in? The soles look like they'll come off after a couple of runs but could be my mind playing tricks because of the price tag

    • +8

You're probably better off with the Saucony Ride/Guide 15s being discounted on Running Warehouse. Pretty great running shoes on discount though it is more than double the price of these.

    • +21

"running-style" probably means don't run in them for reals

      • +7

I run 5kms 3 times a week, average about 5.5min/km. Where do I sit on the running scale?

I'm usually not fussy with my shoes in terms of comfort, just care if they fall apart or not.

        • +10

          About here on the scale:

          🏃‍♂️💨

        • +6

I run similar distance, speed and frequency as you, and suffer from overpronation.

I would recommend buying well-regarded running shoes, for me Brooks Adrenaline GT are great.

I have a couple of pairs of Ultraboosts, very comfy for walking but I have found them nowhere near as comfortable to run in as the Adrenaline.

Horses for courses though, these look decent enough (bought a pair for my son just now thanks to this deal), if you take the plunge I hope you find they fit your needs.

          • @The J man: i agree.

many buy ultraboost thinking they have a premium running shoe. they definitely purchased them at a premium price, but not a premium shoe. i use mine for walking, especially when i get dragged to westfields or theme parks.

        • +4

It doesn't sound like you don't know.

          • +2

            @Hugh G Rection: I guess I'm just amazing….

Seriously though, if I don't get any discomfort from my shoes, what benefits does a "real" pair give me? Do I run faster? longer?

            Then there's this guy: https://www.perthnow.com.au/lifestyle/sam-hensen-thompson-pe…

            • -3

@aaronaldo: i wouldn't describe it as amazing, but not bad though, lol.
since you don't have real running shoes, you don't run with real runners.
have you run in any events or races? once you do, you will then see what amazing running looks like.

yes, faster, longer, faster recovery, longevity in the cushoning, etc…
i was just suggesting shoes for you from my own experience where i thought all i need was a cheap pair of shoes like this. run barefooted for all i care, lol. if you are running 3 times a week, why not invest in a good pair of shoes unless money is real tight, then it is understandable why you are in the market for these shoes.

      • +12

if you want to start actually running consistently, then you need to get some serious running shoes. you usually won't find that with the mainstream nike, adidas, UA, etc.. shoes.

you need to look at hoka, saucony, altra, etc…

        That's complete rubbish.

Almost ALL of the main brands sell some good models for running. It's just that not all the models are good.

You just need to find the right ones to suit your feet and the type of running you are doing.

Source: Many thousands of kms of running over many years, with plenty of hours spent researching which shoes to buy and having run in Hoka, Saucony, Altra, Nike, Asics etc at various times.

owned a pair of these, binned them after about 5 wears, absolutely terrible feel and uncomfortable. ended up with a $200 pair (of adidas) and love those. get what you pay for, at least in my experience…

      • +2
      • +3

Agreed and I used it for my daily walks. Not comfortable. My mistake was to throw my old ultra boost away and I thought this one would be better. I was wrong. Terrible shoes and Adidas should be ashamed of their quality.

        • +1 for ultraboost!

        • To be fair ultra boost are a higher price tier than these. I think Hugh above is correct in saying that brands may label shoes as running shoes at the lower price point that really are just casual shoes that you can occasionally run in if you have to and obviously beat the hell out of leather office shoes for running but don’t compare to the shoes professional runners or even amateur but serious runners use.

      • I've got these exact shoes and had them now for 6 months or so and absolutely love them.
I find them super light, super comfortable, I use them for running and the gym.
For the price, these are insane value for the quality IMO.
        I guess we're all different:)

    • +3

If you actually run, spend the money on a good quality pair of shoes.

Only if you want to save your knees, and back in the future.

If you can't afford, maybe consider just walking 🤣

      • totally what i was saying, but i am being castrated right now. lol

    • I have a pair for casual wear. I don't think you'll be running in them long if you decide to. The insoles are really thin.

    • +2

You just have to look at the product images to see how poorly manufactured these are. Cheapest materials poorly glued together. All you are paying for here is the Adidas branding.

For shoes that you can wear out grocery shopping, these might last you a few months. For running more than 10m, I'd recommend avoiding these and getting better quality running shoes.

  • thanks OP, ordered with ebayplus

  • Here we go again.

The only thing to look forward to is a cancellation email

    • This time eBay will pay for it because of their code

  • 12.5 is always out of stock..

  • Seen a lot uglier selling for more. Not bhed

  • +4

Thanks OP. I already have one and they are so comfy. For $35 including delivery is madness! Can't say no to another!

    • +1

Try or return, simple. That's online shopping. If you don't like, goto a store. Pay for your shoes and for their operating cost 😂

    • +2

Same, I just bought a second pair. I use them for work as I do a lot of walking. Personally I think they're really comfy and supportive.
I haven't tried running in them.

      • -1

Personally I think they're really comfy and supportive.

Can say the same thing about my side chick

  • Error - this code can't be applied to your order. Am I doing anything wrong? Adding the code in the vouchers field.

    • +2

      Are you with ebay plus?

      • No, m not with ebay plus.

      • +1

Yeah you have to be a member

    • +1

The code can only be used once per week. So if you have used it when the other eBay Tuesday deals posted recently then you’re not able to use it again

    • +2

      EBay plus member?

      • Sorry guys.. my bad. Just read the title again. Not an ebay plus member.

        • +8

You can still use FEBTOP5 and get $2.20 off

  • Would these be alright for just some cheapy shoes to do the mowing and stuff in?

    • +6

      mowing and stuff in?

Get a work boot like from Kmart

    • +1

They are good for general usage. For mowing the lawn, this would be the worse as it is very thin. I use steel capped boots.

      • +17

        I use thongs

        • +11

          I use a Victa

        • +2

          I go naked

        • I started with steel capped shoes+thick jeans, few years on moved to casual worn-out shoes+PJs and now on thongs+shorts.

    • +6

      Mow barefoot. Take a risk.
It’s not like a shoe is going to stop a lawnmower blade 😆

    • +3

no, u need a pair of r.m. williams or steel toe boots

      • +1

Yes, the R M Signature Craftsman should do for mowing.

        • -1

i was thinking of the comfort craftsman, but to each their own. the rubber sole works better in the early morning dew on the grass, and also more comfortable.

    • I find runners to be quite slippery on wet slick surfaces.
Safety wise I'd say don't do it.

      • -1

it all depends on the sole. do you have rubber, or is it just foam. a lot of the newer shoes is just foam to save weight, and also less durable so you buy shoes more frequently to keep them in business. lol.

        • I use to run quite a lot and go through a lot of shoes. My new kayanos would be used for running for 6 months. Then used for walking around and work for 6 months. Then used for everyrhing else after that so id have 3 or 4 active pairs at any one time.
But i learnt pretty quick you cant beat a pair of volleys for wet weather grip. And running shoes were rubbish even with the grip worn but intact.

  • Are these shoes good?

  • +1

I have bought two pairs from the Adidas website last year and really like them. They are great for the gym and indoor running but the light weight material would absolutely get destroyed if used for outside activities especially if they get wet.

  • +2

Can't go wrong for only $35.

    • +1

actually, you can throw away $35 down the drain, unless you have a real want and need for these.

      • Right? It's so simple yet so hard to make people understand nowadays. Thanks OP, grabbed two

    • Bought five different pairs of Adidas last sale ~$35 each. Returned 3 pairs. Quality of some models good, some not so much.

  • Thanks op just what I needed a darker shoe in the collection for daily's.

  • They're 1 size too big!

    • Us sizing, to me they are the same as anything else like Clarks, Rivers…

  • PLUSFEBC can only be redeemed once … I couldn't order two pairs in a single checkout.
Could only do one pair… now can't use the code again! doh

  • Are they brown? Green?

Might be okay as semi casual shoes.

    • it's green

      • it's sewerage green

    • Great for wearing to the bowlo

  • “Cloud foam midsole”
Can someone with a better level of education explain this to me?

  • -3

    Deal has ended.

    • +4

Just bought a pair, still working

    • You might not be eBay Plus.. 😅

    • no it haven't fake news!

  • Can you get a free trial of of ebayplus ?

    • +1

Try setting it up, it'll tell you if you qualify.

  • I just bought a few minutes ago.

    • good onya, but why

  • +1

    Looks cheap

    • plastic fantastic

  • +3

  • Will these look good on me at the night clubs? Asking for a friend.

  • Bought one thanks OP
