Low price on this remote control boat that features a brushless motor and can easily achieve a max speed of 35-40km/h. The boat is watercooled and there's capsize recovery so if it capsizes you can press the throttle a few times to flip it back over.

It comes in a package with either one battery or two batteries. If you run the top speed all the time you'll get about 8 minutes of run time, but if you're more conservative on speed you can get 25 minutes easily.

      • I get it, the motor is cooled, I just thought it was a funny comment, not stupid, eh?

Try to be nicer to people :)

Yep I removed that part. You'd be surprised at how many people will attack a deal and poster over the smallest details. Always a risk when writing a description.

@Clear: If they don't get it they're unintelligent, don't fret over it.

            Have a nice day 👍

      • Why does the water enter from the trailing side and not the leading edge powered by the speed of the boat?

        • A hole in the front of the boat with water rushing into it would provide resistance and slow the boat down.
The water entering would effectively be trying to push the boat backwards

          • @tritorius: Interesting, I guess you're right though. I assume it must use a small pump in this setup or perhaps a Venturi flow?

I had an RC boat as a kid. Upgraded the motor to a brushed 12 turn and it was great, right up until everything died because it all overheated… Good times

  • Can we use it on paramatta river or beaches?

  • I get AU$72.00 "AU Express shipping" as the only option for Bendigo VIC 3550.
Got the same with the last few boat deals, seems they just won't ship me a boat without a crazy express shipping price 🙃

  • Do I or don't I, that is the question?

  • is it fibreglass hull or just plastic ….thinking future motor upgrade

  • Can it be used in salty water ?

    • Yes but may effect longevity. Rinse with freshwater after and it'll last pretty long

  • Shit i never thought id want one of these. After checking youtube videos id love to thrash it round.

So it was good for about 2 days worth of fun. Then the shaft broke, which I repaired. And then now the motor only works sporadically, and the company refuses to help as the warranty is only 1 month (bought it in November for a Christmas present).

It's a fast machine but would not recommend based on my experience.

  • I bought one of these for my 6 year old son.
It's bloody great. Get the two battery option. We use it all the time.
In fact I use it more than my son, I find it very therapeutic.

    • What’s the trick with the notch on the lid when closing it? I opened it up but never got it to close/seal properly. I’m not the most mechanically minded.

  • This thing looks pretty cool for the price. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKax347dWlE

  • Anyone know the dimensions of the battery? I'm wondering it it'll fit in a wl toys 144001.

    • Check out Bargaphile's video above, I'd say not - looks pretty long
