If anyone's feeling regret after the preorder ended yesterday, here are the new deals.

  • 20% off any Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ or S23 Ultra.
  • Up to $200 off a Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Buds when bought in the same transaction.
  • Trade in up to 2 devices (no bonus trade in value)
  • Free Samsung Care+ (No need to claim BONUSCARE voucher)

Definitely not a better deal than the previous one if you only have one device to trade in, but here it is anyways.

    Looks like Samsung is struggling…

    • +3

Or being aggressive to take more market share, especially with all of the talks of a market downturn in near future…

    • +3

      Company offers competitive deals

      .

      Must be struggling

Aren’t good deals, like, the whole reason we’re here?

    • They'll all be struggling soon !

  • +2

so basically moved to bonus trade in for a flat extra 10% off, slightly worse deal

    • +1

Even earlier it was 20% so the discount hasn't changed.

  • +2

Im comparing the combo of the govt versus education versus westpac. S23U/512 with buds2pro with 24mth care = 1878.40/2078.40/1958 without buds2 1799.20 for govt/education.

  • +10

They should cut all b/s and sell the flagship for ~$1000 like google.

  • Any of the 10-15% VIP coupons working now ?

  • The real bargain is the S22:
    S22/128gb - $746.85
    S22/256gb - $811.85

Cheaper then the Pixel 7 on sale.

    • +1

Which bargain? I got S22 256 GB for $950 when it was released last year from Edu, should be much cheaper now with S23 release

      • I got s21 for 350

        • How did you get that?

          • @AwesomeAndrew: 400 trade in bonus (didnt send the phone in)
            50 newslettrer voucher
            200 voucher from chat
            100 loyalty voucher

            All stacked

            • @U30004: You will have to pay back the $400 if you don't send in the phone, so you actually paid $750. I got my Galaxy S21 128GB for $592.80 from a JB HiFi deal. (There was also a Harvey Norman deal which was $624 + 100 Gift Card, but I missed out on that one)

              • @AwesomeAndrew: Not with samsung trade in. Ausrion didnt even charge admin fee back then

              • @AwesomeAndrew: He just pays the trade in value and a one time admin fee.
The bonus is his regardless if he sends the phone in or not.

          • +1

@AwesomeAndrew: A few of us did this. I did the same, didn't send phone in and just sold it on ebay. Was worth more than the trade in value bonus.

            $350 for the s21.

        • +2

Oh Yeh? I paid 20 cents for mine and I won't tell anyone how I did it. My comment is purely to flex and one-up most people so I can feel good about myself.

          • +1

@shiny1: Well that was possible if you stacked vouchers and had a valuable phone to "trade in". Samsung closed those loopholes early 2022.

    • Is it on edu store? Showing $1266 on epp for s22 ultra

      • Yeah edu store for s22 base.

        Unfortunately not the ultra…

Absolute crap battery, I started using my phone at 7 this morning and it was dead by 3:30pm this afternoon, after only 2 hours screen time with some 5G and Bluetooth usage. I'm upgrading to an S23+ because of it.

      • Your S22 Ultra is that bad? 0% dead?

        • Base S22. I believe the prices above are for this.

          • @Techie4066: Oh the comment just above yours mentioned Ultra. I thought you were adding on to that.
I have an Ultra and asked more to know if that is what I can expect in the future

            • +1

@Cinnamon Crunch: Nah you have to follow comment chains vertically, I replied to the top of this thread which is why mine isn't indented below the Ultra comment. The Ultra seems fine as it can fit a comparably much larger battery.

And your buying another one 😂 the perfect Samsung user

        • I know what I'm talking about. TSMC > Samsung fabrication any day. My S20 FE 5G had great battery life. Qualcomm chip efficiency dropped of a cliff with the SD888 and 8Gen1 for a reason.
          Source 1
          Source 2

I also have a Galaxy Watch and don't want to lose functionality.

      • Ive had no issues with my S22 Ultra. Lasts all day. Only time it drops down to 30% in evening is if I play a game on it. I got a range of various smart apps running too for all the various sensors and appliances

        • Mine's a base model. Here's my battery charge graph from today, taken after I could finally charge it a little

            • @Sammyboy: Watching videos on wifi is definitely less intensive, whereas I was out all day. But seriously, what were they thinking releasing a base model that could only last 2 hours on 5G with some mild GPS and Bluetooth usage!

              • @Techie4066: I play YouTube in the car when driving. So would be on 5g. With the screen off. Use it like a podcast lol

                • @Sammyboy: hm interesting. When your Ultra's at 30% to finish the day, there's no way in hell a base model would last you.

                  • @Techie4066: I used to Genshin on the phone. Battery did hold up till end of day. Pokemon drains it fast though. I think the P30 pro and P30 had amazing batteries. They were such good phones at the time.

      • One of the apps in your phone is preventing it from going to sleep. Notorious ones include wechat.

    • +1

S22 battery life is worst. Don't buy that..

  • Trade in bonus and accessories eVoucher (for cases and chargers etc) makes the previous deal way better

    • +1

Honestly yeah i agree, at least i'm less tempted to upgrade from my S22+ (i hate the battery)

    • What's that deal, can you link it please

  • I already have a smart watch that I dont wear and get infection with in ear buds. Could not seem justify the purchase last night. Waiting for a better independant deal on the phone itself or will just wait for the fold 5 which is reported to have in built s pen and the crease gone for good.

    • +1

That’s what I am going to do, waiting for independent deal on s23 ultra, don’t have anything to trade and I think without trade in bonus it’s difficult to justify price.

      • +1

same, got buds2 with my s22+ and already have a watch, i just need a phone that finally has everything to round it off and i'm set for the next 5 years

  • +3

Sadly nowhere near as lucrative as the stacked bundle discounts from last year.

    • +1

      damn that is pretty stacked!

    • Thank you for posting that. Looks like that's a month after the release of S22 so hopefully maybe this will happen with S23 sometime in few weeks from now?
Then again, S22 is a pretty bad phone so maybe they panicked to get sales

  • what is the best bang for buck tablet? and is there a way to get them cheap without getting the phone?

  • hi
    i bought a samsung s23 with a trade up.

I still haven't got instructions on how to send my old S8 to samsung?

    Anyone can help?

    • +1

I got an email the day it was delivered (check junk)…just take the old phone (no box needed) and the email to the post office. They scan the email, print a label scan a postpaid satchel and send it off for you……get a receipt as well.
