      I signed up to student beans (I have a valid .edu email address ). Got a code, punched it into the google store but only got $37 off the $750 retail price.

        I’ve had my fair share of China phones. My other half is currently using a poco f3.
        The specs might be great but the overall experience compared to a pixel phone is night and day imo.

          I don't have a Pixel phone but I have a Poco F3 with CrDroid Rom and after more than 1 year using it, I'm very happy with it. I don't have Play Store, only aurora and f-droid but I haven't had any issues. I believe it depends on what OS you install on it and what apps you need. I don't install games.

          I haven't had good experience with other phones like Samsung (too many apps included, laggy, issues with some apps, etc) or Nexus (only hardware failure, start button issues, clean Android which was great).
          I had good experiences with Motorola but only after I installed custom roms.

          Guess it's really about personal choices

            couldnt care less about antutu and benchmarks..

            I had the mi max, poco F1 and f3..

            bought a pixel 5a (yes it's slower) but it feels smooth, camera is amazing even in the dark and everything just works. idk maybe that's just me.

              @Mortgagetightass: I dont talk about camera quality. everyone has different opinions on what is a good quality picture.

              unless the phone is $400 cheaper or from a decade ago.

              poco f3 has double the refresh rate, charges twice as fast, 2 - 3 times faster, can handle games, application that requires a lot of cpu power.

              if they are similar in pricing. There is no question which one is better.
              And i'm willing to bet the Poco F3 will still be cheaper.

                  Some people may like the changes, some people hate changes and adapting to new features.

                  Apparently i still use the navigation buttons instead of the bunch of annoying gestures.

      You're using the 10% off code which doesn't stack with the existing discount. You need to use the 5% off code which will work

      How does the 256GB come down to $1016, I see it gets $250 off + 5% additional off $72.xx = $1126.xx. you do get 10% store credit, so will come down to $1126 - $112.6 so if you are considering that yes around $1016 and can claim around $100 or so of GST as well

    The 6a is just not available on sale at $599 at the moment, it is $749. I've been checking all day and used the code. It works with the 7pro which is on sale for $1049.

        Same for me. Yesterday it was still showing as $749 in the google store for me. 599 now but the 5% code only brings it down to $560 obviously. The 10% voids the google store discount and makes it ~$670.
