      There’s a Penrith nightclub.

      • +8

        Perth.. not Penrith.

        • +29

          Easy mistake.
Perth's a bigger version of Penrith.

Hillary's Bar1 has enforced a blanket ban on red shoes whether they be Air Maxes, TNs or Airforces as the shoes are allegedly a red flag for bad behaviour.

So… they're no longer only signs of immaturity, stunted p___s size, and poor fashion sense.

    • "It's quite funny … they have red shoes on, certain bum bag and certain chain and they act up," owner Malcolm Pages said.

"It's a little bit eshay-like. Like the local suburban hero kind of vibe."

Local village idiots more like it, lol. I live rural so I haven't seen these dregs. With their red shoes, handbags, and womens jewellery they must look like a "Babysitters Club" of kids with Down's.

Growing up in the 70's and 80's Eshays would have to be the most laughable gangs ever. Ellesse shirts that were once only worn by 80 year old jewish ladies playing tennis and over sholder man bags that Kel Day Knight would be proud to power walk in. Cant wait to see their mardi gras float

      • Kel Knight. It was Kath that kept her name. Now Kath Day-Knight.

        • I thought he also kept his name and took on hers. He was progressive for the early 2000's. 😀

  • +1

Should i get them to sell for thousands later

    • Can eshays afford thousands?

      • They eshay meth dealers can.

  • +14

Part of the meth dealer starter pack, also includes an Ellesse t-shirt, RL cap, shitty chain, scrappy moustache / goatee & one trackie leg half pulled up.

Ignoring the colour, the 270's are actually pretty comfortable. Mentioned during the last deal, I had a black pair in 2020…. felt like I was walking on pillows everywhere I went. Probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn (certainly in recent years it's a toss up between these and Kyrie Flytrap II's). The only downside was that my toe eventually poked through the right shoe…… within a few months of owning them :-/. But that's a downside as to how shoes are made these days (mesh material at the front).

    • -6

Comfortable? They are sneakers. A $20 K-mart pair is comfortable, it just doesn't last very long.

toe eventually poked through the right shoe…… within a few months

Oh. Buy the K-mart ones then, and paint three stripes on. Wait, I mean a swoosh.

      • +2

Obviously never tried on, or owned.

        • -5

Do you walk around thinking about your shoes? I almost never think about them. If I do, it is because they are uncomfortable and need replacing.
If a pair of shoes is fitted OK, you are unaware of it, and it is impossible to do better than that.
Of course, specialist sports shoes are a different category.

The reality is that people are insecure and think "how do I look in these shoes". Truth is, nobody gives a damn about your feet. And if they do, you've made some bad life choices.

          • @bargaino: Go do a search for "feet" on pornhub and let us know how many results you get.

          • -2

@bargaino: Who said I give 2 shits about how I look in these shoes? I've gotten rid of 99.99% of any sports clothes in my wardrobe recently.

They are amongst, if not, the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. 40 years old.

I generally like the lighter fitting Adidas NMD style stuff with light fabric above, for everyday wear. These are obviously firmer, but still incredibly comfortable.

      • I wish I could find comfortable shoes at Kmart. Years ago you could but now Kmart is just another landfill importer like Aldi. I tried on two different types of joggers there and the shoelace ripped through the holes while just taking up the slack. I hadn't got as far as tightening them yet! Hiking shoes, the metal fittings ripped out. Their workboots are absolute garbage with proportions all out of whack, made to fit Chinese legs like tennis racquet handles I guess, because I have to go 3-4 sizes too large (meaning they flop around like clown shoes) just to get my foot past the top section which is incredibly tight. Then it cuts off blood flow in the leg so you can't stand them on your feet. Dress shoes are shameful garbage as well, just shaped cardboard with a thin shiny coating that you wear to a wedding once (if you plan on only sitting down all night) then throw into the bin later at home because the coating is so scratched. Even KT26's are garbage now.

        • Yeah, I'd never suggest hike or work shoes from there.

          Even KT26's are garbage now.

          Well that is sad.

    • I’ve only found these kinds of issues in Nike tbh, the only adidas or new balance shoes I’ve poked a toe through was after 2yrs of abuse

    • -3

      100% agree
Have the B&W, they are extremely comfortable. Normally I don't wear high Sneakers since school days.

      • I want these in the black and white now after all these comfy comments.. 😅

        • -2

Was actually tempted to get another a while back but had sold out in my size in a few areas, though seem to come back in often.

Common sense would be to get a slightly different style, but I would never go all red. Got my 5yo daughter pink and white, she loves em.

  • +3

Red shoes were a trend when Puma released those Ferrari speedcats, what was that, 20 years ago now? Ain’t no one trying to look like Ronald McDonald anymore 😂

    • Do you not get out much these days? Nearly every eshay and their muppet friends are wearing TN's with red or these!!!

      • Just as well I don't get out then… Because if I saw several Poindexters wearing red joggers I'd either just crack up laughing, or do so after imitating this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ6VT7ciR1o. Then, by the sound of the other comments here, they'd beat me to death with their handbags while lisping out Michael Jackson squeals.

    • I've got a bright red pair of Nike Dual Fusion IV's which were purchased in 2012 (oldest pair of shoes I own that are still in great condition) pure red and makes me feel like Sonic when wearing them!

Have another pair of Under Armor (Curry 5s) shoes that are more deeper red. But comfy to wear.

Certain colours attract certain people. In the late 2000s I wore a pair of purple shoes that someone tried to rob me for (in Ringwood, Vic).

I've also got 2 pairs of gold shoes (Nike qnd UA respectively). Bit wankerish, but they matched what I was going for at the time.

    • Got a pair of red Nike Airforce One in 2014 or so that lasted I think 7 or 8 years until the sole had worn flat and was slippery on tiles. Still have them but they aren’t too practical due to lack of grip. I’d grab another pair in a heartbeat if I found them in my size

    Clown shoes!

  • +1

Came for the eshay comments. Wasn't disappointed.

  • W*nker detectors. Much like the FIGJAM AFL football boot colour trend

    • I think you mean "advertisers." ;-p

Seriously, "gangs" wearing red clown shoes!? HAHAHA!!! That's the kind of thing some cringy immature group of 10 year old boys who meet in a cubby house would do, similar to those dumb haircuts where they shave part, leave the rest long so they look like one of those yappy dogs that wastes of oxygen like Paris Hilton carry around in their handbags, or because they couldn't afford the entire haircut in one go so will get the other half done next dole payment.
